If you eat it, without rehydrating it, itās sticks to your teeth just like fruit leather does.
The media could not be loaded. Pros:Freeze dried food has all of the nutrients of fresh food. This is 100% pears that have been blended, and packaged without any added sugar. When reconstituted, it reminds me of applesauce. It can easily be added to infant rice cereal, and multi grain cereals to provide both flavor and fiber.I do like to eat the clumps. However, if the clump is big, and you chew it, it does stick to your teeth. It comes in a resealable bag. This little 3.5 ounce bag is the equivalency of approximately 1 1/2 pounds of pears. It is lightweight and easy to travel with.It can easily be added to any recipe. The flavor is really good, it taste just like a pear.An easy way to take a long baby food on a camping trip. Just add water and mix it to the right consistency for your child.Cons:The biggest downside to freeze dried food, is keeping the moisture away from the product. If you forget to seal the package, the moisture from the air, will be absorbed by the powder making it sticky, and much more difficult to break the clumps back into a powder.

Please do NOT waste your money!
This stuff is tasteless and cost WAY too much. The sellers contacted me claiming they would refund my money but they never did! *Big sigh*

Intensive flavor, great for smoothies/baking
I love freeze dried products - they take up so much less shelf space while still providing a lot of healthy nutritional punch/power!As you would expect, this powder tastes exactly as a pear does. Because all the liquid is gone, if you add just a tablespoon of this into your smoothie you are going to get a lot of intense flavor (and nutrition) from much less āvolumeā / liquid than you would otherwise need. Which means you can make smoothies that pack a much bigger flavor punch. Good because itās delicious, but a bit bad because it will make regular smoothies seem bland⦠!I have also used freeze dried powder in frostings to add some unique flavoring, works great for that.My one complaint about this product is the chunkiness and texture - I was expecting it to be more of a fine powder - think flour instead of sugar. In addition there was some chunky clumps (like you get in hard brown sugar.). Doesnāt really interfere with usefulness as you can crush it back into the proper state, but I think the issue could be addressed with proper desiccants in the packaging. As far as value goes, keep in mind that a small container like this is the equivalent of 25 pears. That helps put it in perspective! As far as actual cost goes, pricing fluctuates quite a bit on Amazon so I canāt properly speak to value - I can, however, say that this is a delicious freeze dried powder and I think you, like I have, will find many tasty uses for it in your kitchen. :)

Tastes alright, came as a bunch of big clumps
This powdered fruit tastes fine, it's not amazing though, the flavor is pretty mild compared to many of their other products but there's nothing inherently wrong with it. My biggest issue is this came as basically a big chunk of styrofoam in the bag that's taken a lot of bashing to break up and return to powder form. I've never had that happen before so I don't know if it just is something to do with pome fruits or what as I later got some apple powder with the same issue. If you're putting it through a blender that is probably not an issue but if you're manually stirring it, it just won't break up easily.

Clumps of Powder
Just received and the powder is clumped and hard as a rock... the only way to crumble the chunks is to use a hammer. Very disappointed!!!
