This is the second one of these testers I have owned. The first one I bought after seeing someone on you tube using it, and I bought it for one reason, it has an audible sound when plugged in and when the socket was live.I got fed up of walking to see if my other tester had power, as that just illuminated without the sound, being audible I save a lot of time on jobs now, and I can hear when I have got the correct circuit I want isolating.The first one I bought, was from my local electrical wholesalers and was branded TIS, I paid nearly twice I paid for this identical tester without the TIS branding, so my advice by it from Amazon they are the same. It will also tell you various basic things, I don't use it for that as I have more expensive equipment to do that job, it's used as a quick reference to make sure I have the correct circuit I am working on, obviously sockets only.

I just bought it for peace of mind after changing sockets. Seems to work fine although I must admit, I don't have the knowhow to test it if it's accurate.

I bought this to test the sockets I put in my shed and then decided to test the whole of the house too.Brilliant piece of kit. Easy to use and easy to read.Going to get a light bulb one next.
