This was fine though available at a large supermarket chain too. Very pleased with the despatch and flavour. Just addicted to the flavour as I use a lot of vegetables including onions, but it just gives such a nice savoury taste that is similar to onion but just a slightly different flavour that we both love. Even the smell makes me hungry. Not a spice like the ingredients of curry, but just something that I have never found an equivalent for. Add it to all sorts of dishes and especially to chicken which can be bland unless roasted.Try it and see for yourself if you like to be adventurous.

I wanted to try this and see if it would be a good alternative to onions which I am allergic to. Unfortunately this is extremely pungent, and the packaging isn't air tight. My husband just couldnt stand the smell every time he entered the kitchen, so sadly we had to get rid of it before we got chance to try it. Maybe buy an airtight container before buying so you can pop it straight in to avoid this? If course, air tight packaging would have been preferable.

The powder was as expected but the packaging was not good it was leaking out of the bag

It smells so strong that I can't bear to have it in the kitchen. Even the parcel smelt. Not for me sadly!I bought as a substitute for onion. I am sure it's fine in the right hands but I couldn't bear to use it and threw away.

I bought this on the recommendation of a dietician. It's an alternative to onions, which I can't eat. It does a good job of flavouring and if you can't eat onions or don't like them, is a good substitute for taste but of course not for texture.

OMG this stuff stinks.....the poor postman must have wondered what the hxxl he was delivering😂😂😂It came in a plastic bag which we immediately decanted into a screw top glass jar and you could still smell it.Have yet to use it in a curry.....hopefully it will taste better than it smells!!!!
