Deadzone developing into complete failure within a couple of hours
The screen itself looked good at first glance before install. So I went ahead to install, being experienced in doing this didn't take long. However, the screen developed a deadzone within an hour. A vertical band from top to bottom about 2cm wide. An hour later the screen just stopped responding anywhere on it. I opened it up to double check things didn't get loose but this wasn't the case. Wasted a lot of time. Contacted the seller who were responsive (messages received in the early hours of the morning suggesting they were not based in UK). Eventually, they suggested I get a refund as they believe it was damaged in transit and its Amazon's fault. I see no transit damage to the box nor the contents and I would say the manufactured quality of the digitiser screen is poor. As it worked for an hour, I would think this would have gone faulty at some point and lucky it was within the 30 day returns window...... Better to know poor quality and robustness sooner rather than too late. Amazon free returns for defective items is great. Instead of risking more time again I went elsewhere to purchase a replacement digitiser screen (not from Amazon, as some dedicated online retailers offer lifetime warranty on their parts and cost the same all in with delivery).

Right tools for the job
I found the customer service to be really helpful. The tools were great and the adhesion was great. I found a utube video but would be fantastic if the company supplied their own link to a video they would recommend which would prevent the seller time looking for the most appropriate and easy to follow video.Thank you

If you are methodical in fitting and willing to compromise, you will save a substantial amount
No instructions so YouTube videos are your only friend, and the quality of those videos has a huge bearing on how this works out for you. The product itself is good, but though I went through several videos, there were elements of the fitting that still caused confusion, and the magnetic case function doesn’t work afterwards, even with careful refitting of the magnets. Still better than paying over the odds for someone else to fit it, and very satisfying once you’re up and running again. Just be methodical, keep all the tiny screws safe, not the disassembly process to help you with reassembly, and take lots AND LOTS of care! As tricky as it was, I still would buy again.

WORTH ALL THE FIDDLING
I was pleased with the quality of this kit for re-glassing my Ipad mini. Although it came with no instructions, videos are readily available on YouTube to help the inexperienced like me. The process was somewhat fiddly, and required a good deal of dexterity to dismantle and remove the broken glass and replace it with the new one. It was tricky to remove the protective coverings from the adhesive strips on the screen and those supplied for the body of the Ipad, but the tweezers supplied with the kit did the job eventually. All in all, a job well done with a quality replacement screen, saving me a good £60-70 on the costs quoted by local electronics shops.

Make sure you have the right model
Unfortunately, I didn't discover that I had a model 3 Ipad uintil attempting to fit it, finding that the screen connections weren't compatibleThe toolkit was very comprehensive with aids to lift the broken screen. But I'm not so sure that the adhesive strips would be much good as they were similar to strips supplied with the correct screen replacement.

Harder than it looks online!
I like to think I'm pretty good with tech and repairs. However, this is very tricky to fit. Even harder with a broken and cracked screen. The kit has NO instructions so your only guide is YouTube. I don't have a heat gun so used a hairdryer but it didn't really get up to temp to melt the glue. I ended up damaging the display and had to bin it. I'd suggest spending more and getting someone else to repair.

alright at the start
At first it was amazing and also a life saver. i treated it with care and never let anyone touch my iPad. then all of a sudden, it started bugging out and before i knew it, the home button stopped working and also the touch screen of half of the iPad stopped functioning properly. All in all, it was descent while it lasted, but would have to not recommend the product.

Easy peesy!
I wish I had taken a picture of my daughters iPad mini before I repaired it with this item as it was completely smashed! We had already replaced it with a tablet so I decided to try and fix the iPad with this product........nothing to lose eh?Yes, it was fiddly. Yes, it took almost 2 hours, but it was well worth it to see my daughters face when not only was it fixed but working just like new again! There are NO instructions, and the screwdrivers in the pack aren't great so make sure you have a small Phillips head screwdriver on hand (oh, and a hair dryer!) but there are plenty of simple tutorials on YouTube to follow.Have now purchased a replacement screen for another UK tablet as feel confident enough to repair another product using the same process.Easy peesy!
