This is one of the only natural deodorants I've tried that works. I love the natural essential oil smell, so much better than synthetic sickly perfumes. However, £32 for a deodorant is insanity. I bought mine in a local shop for £4.50 which is about the correct price. The maximum I'd pay for this is about £8.

I've already purchased and wrote a review on the Schmidt's Bergamot and Lime deodorant but i wanted to write a separate one on this product. Same points really : hard to apply but it actually works and keeps sweat patches to a minimum. Burns if i use it within a few hours of showering and shaving but not if i wait 7-8 hours. Overall a decent natural deodorant. My only real issue is with the smells. The bergamot and lime one makes me smell like tea bags and this one kind of smells like wood and BO. I think they could have done some better scents, they're all quite hippie and a bit weird. A floral one or vanilla/cinnamon one would be nice. Apparently people can become allergic to sodium bicarbonate which is what causes the burning in some people. I also think it's to harsh to put on skin that has just been shaved because it becomes reasonably sensitive - other natural deodorants haven't given me this problem but they also don't contain sodium bicarbonate.Oh, i also think the price is a bit silly. It doesn't really encourage people to try natural alternatives because the average person would rather pay £1 or £2 for an unnatural deodorant made by a massive company that tests on animals and puts aluminium in the product, rather than spend nearly 10 quid on a reasonably good but not quite as good natural replacement.

First purchased the smaller size (2.65oz/75g). Used as directed it was the most effective stick deodorant I have purchased. As it was so effective, I ordered another one, this time the larger size (3.25oz/92g). However, within two weeks, out of the blue, my skin became very irritated and sore. As I hadn't used any other products I kept using this but the irritation persisted. I stopped using it for a month (switched to a natural crystal deodorant that I'd used before) and the irritation stopped. I tried Schmid's Lime & Bergamot (very nice) and didn't experience any problems. I then tried the same Cedarwood + Juniper again but the irritation returned immediately. Quite unexpected and very gutted. As per the attached photo (first purchase on the left), the only thing that appears different is a minor change in the list of ingredients. If it wasn't that, then who knows? Shame. The first stick was AWESOME!

love the product, just a bit pricey as shipped from the states. Smells good though and a natural deoderant that actually works!

Didn't do much of a good job for me but then I did put it to the test, walking 4 miles to work in the summer! Felt a bit hard/scratchy putting it on as it is very dry. Looked online to see if you're supposed to wet it first, like salt bars deodorant but couldn't see anything like that so didn't try!

J'ai longtemps cherché le déo idéal :efficace et non toxique.Rien à faire je revenais toujours à ceux contenant des sels d'aluminium pour être sûrede contenir les odeurs toute la journée et puis j'ai découvert les déodorants Schmidt's,d'abord la première version en petit pot(pas pratique,texture très compacte avec une petite pelle,donc obligée de le laisser sur le radiateur pour arriver à en prendre suffisamment ,puis application à la main sur les aisselles:efficace mais pénible)Et Schmidt's a sorti les sticks ,c'est parfait.la consistance reste assez sèche donc pensez à sortir assez de matière pour ne pas vous racler les aisselles avec le contenant.Perso j'ai 3 parfums cèdre,lavande,citron pour pouvoir changer.le cèdre est assez tenace et sent un peu les rondelles de bois de cèdre antimites .....mais j'aime le cèdre et ça s'estompe dans la journée.Pour les jours d'épilation et pour mon petit fils de 7ans (et oui ça commence)j'ai le neutre sans parfum.Je les supporte tous ,après ,à tester suivant les sensibilités individuelles aux huiles essentielles tout en sachant que l'action déo vient principalement du bicarbonate de sodium de la formule.

Smells amazing and keeps me feeling fresh through the day and it’s amazing because it’s all natural. I had a problem with the previous frangrance I was using and their customer care was prompt and extremely helpful. They even sent me a replacement piece all the way to India! Fantastic experience. My sister is really happy with hers too.

Guter, etwas herber Geruch. Ich verwende es im Wechsel mit einem Roll on (auch Naturkosmetik) und finde, er funktioniert super, hält auch lang. Gut auch, dass der Stick trocken ist, man kann also gleich das Shirt anziehen, ohne Flecken zu befürchten.

I've been trying to find a good natural deodorant for a while. I've used only Tom's which has some things in it I'd like to steer clear of and none of their scents are too great (but their fennel toothpaste is excellent!). I have looked at some other notable products and most seem to have at least one or two things I would rather not have on me, like propylene glycol, a synthetic. And sodium stearate. Natural? Ok. So is arsenic. Sodium stearate strikes me as a cheap bottom of the barrel ingredient used for cost cutting. Lile Magnesium Oxide in Magnesium supplements (completely useless aside from generating revenue from those who don't realize it is effectively a placebo).Sorry... I am verbose... Anyway, I just received this Schmidt's stick today and right out of the package I am in love with the smell. It is subtle - nobody will smell it unless they are hanging out under my arm, but it just smells like a Vermont forest, without any trace of imitation scent whatsoever (because there isn't, according to the label).Not sure how it will last through the day - most naturals seem to tend to wear off after a few hours and I am ok with that. While I develop a slight man scent in the afternoon (it's not altogether unpleasant, honestly), it doesn't become unpleasant until the following morning before the shower. Whether it fades or not, I think I have found the winner. Oh and it also has a gritty oil feel to it that you can't feel even slightly once applied, but is a neat texture while rubbing it in. I think others have mentioned that it stains shirts, but I have gotten into the habit of rubbing my deodorant in as though it were a paste, instead of letting it sit there and rub into my shirt. Seems to work perfectly. Will report back only if my opinion changes.Edit: I felt the need to return with an update. After a couple days of use, I have changed my previous inclination to suspect all natural deodorants will fade after a few hours. This one actually works. While the great scent does fade after a few hours (or my olfacorty gremlins filter it out) the efficacy of the deodorant does not. I haven't once detected my own natural scent - even at the end of the night. The next morning I can detect my own scent only very very faintly. This stuff just works, and it is refreshing to find a company like this, that makes a true natural product (according to their self-reported ingredients, anyway), makes bold claims about the quality, and backs it up 100% in reality. Everyone has biological variations, so your experience may not be the same, but give it a shot if you have even the slightest interest in a natural deodorant (which you should).
