Color true to photos. Thick and soft. Feels good underfoot. No smell. Was packaged shrink wrap.Only con is it moves ever so slightly (I'm gonna try a little cheese cloth) and the cutout is a wee too bib. I would buy again. Haven't washed it yet as since a rug, I just immediately put it down. The backing seems such that it should wash well as have other similar rugs I've had. Would buy again
