Hello and thank you for your question. Luteolin and Rutin are both flavonoids with good antibacterial activities. Luteolin was effective against Gram-negative bacteria Enterobacter cloacae, Klebsiella pneumonia, Proteus mirabilis, E. coli, P. Aeruginosa, and Proteus Vulgaris, while Rutin was shown to be effective against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, in particular. Lastly, when used in combination, Luteolin and Rutin were found to increase each other activity against different bacteria.
