Extractor Fan Back Draught Shutter 100mm in-line Vent 4 Inch Ducting

Haven’t yet installed it but I am sure it does what it is supposed too do

Stopped the backdraft but rattles quite a bit when windy, tension up the retaining spring slightly before fitting and you good to go...

I bought this because I thought it was different to the Manrose one which has poor reviews.However I received a Manrose branded one, not Smarthome.The flaps do not close to reduce back draught when the extractor is off so the product is pointless. There would probably need to be a pretty epic storm for them to close back because the spring has no strength to it.I will be returning and looking for an alternative solution.Shame because I thought I'd get better quality with the money I spent.

Description indicates that it is 100mm dia where infact it is 90mm, which means it does not work with 100mm plastic duct.There is only one damper spring when clearly two should have been fitted.Dampers are "delicate" and will break at hinge after first strong windJust poor quality and not fit for purpose

Does a decent job, but isn't half noisey when it flaps! Going to need to stick some soft pads to it eventually.

The product came with a missing spring that stops the vent from staying open and the single spring alone was not enough for it to work properly. I would even doubt having the other spring would help in any way.
