Basically, they didn't work!!!!

Did the job I wanted them for. Only problem 20 wasn't enough so ordered some more. Hold together well once netting is clipped on but a little fiddly to keep it all together while you do that. Not sure how they will stand up to the weather and hot sun, time will tell.

I did read all the reviews are agree with all the ones who said how fiddly they are and difficult to put together but as I already had some I went ahead and bought them.As people mention, bamboo is either too thick or too thin so I cut up lots of old canes to use not entirely successful but I now have a cage of sorts. Really need 2 people the photo shows this ladies single handed effort

Used it to put netting over purple sprouting broccoli planst to safeguard them from pigeons etc. A neighbouring allotment holder had used these connectors and I was quite impressed with them.

I bought these to build a netting cage to try to battle the birds who were eating my crops. As bamboo canes come in a variety of thicknesses, I found these little gadgets didn't work on the majority of my canes - they were either too thick or too thin. When they did work though, they were fine. I would not rebuy.

A brilliant idea for creating an inexpensive frame for my vegetables. However I failed to realise that bamboo canes usually taper from thick to thin, so one end fitted the connector, but the other end was too loose to fit the adjoining connector and the frame has collapsed. Perhaps the supplier can suggest some way to overcome this problem or another product the connectors can be used with.
