Q: The Handles how long are they?

The handles are at a rough measurement quite long, 12 inches. Could easily become a shoulder bag. Hope this helps.

Q: Is the fabric thick enough to be embroided without ripping?

They are designed for craft purposes not specifically for embroiding.

Hi ,the bags are flat ,a great size 38 width and 42 depth .well worth the money ,good quality material.hold a transfer well and good for craft paint or tie dye .

Q: Can these be decorated with sharpies

Yes they can be decorated with sharpies providing you put some paper sheets inside the bag so the print does not soak through to the other side. Our children actually used fabric pens & crayons to create their designs and the adults sealed the art work by ironing it.
