Wireless for sound.......
I had new composite doors fitted and was looking for a wireless replacement for the old connected bell. I took a chance on this kit after reading the reviews of a number of door bells, mainly because of the manufacturer and the price but also because I wanted one button and two chimes: I couldn't hear my old door bell when I was cooking in the kitchen.I was initially concerned as I'd read there were issues with composite doors potentially blocking the signal, but it works fine, both for the hallway and the kitchen, which must be some 30 feet or more away and through several doors and walls. It's loud enough for me to hear wherever I am in the house and has the facility to plug other appliances in the same sockets they use, so you don't use up precious sockets either.I am happy with just the one sound (which rings twice on one push of the button, great idea) which may be a downside for those who want more choice, but for me it's classic and unfussy.Getting some double-sided foam tape makes fitting the bell push easy and it's easy to change the battery. So far it's lasted several months and it's still going strong.

Good buy
As we just had PVC doors fitted, I did not want to drill holes in the front door to hold a doorbell. This one is fitted using a couple of small sticky fixers and it fits neatly where I wanted it. My husband has hearing problems and often did not hear the previous doorbell--being able to plug one of the receptors in whichever room he is in has solved that problem and it is handy that you can still use the socket for an electrical device. There is only one chime sound but it gives a double chime when the bell is pressed so it is ample for our purpose. The sound level is also adequate even for those who might be hard of hearing. Would recommend it to anyone needing an unfussy but effective doorbell kit.

A very good value for money doorbell
Really good door bell, the actual button has rubber seals keeping the inside dry, it even has rubber seals around the screws preventing water getting in the rear, the button is powered by a decent quality battery, not a stupid watch like battery. Anyone who says the doorbell is not loud must be deaf, the doorbell is plenty loud enough, and there is 2 of them, how loud do you want it. The units are thin with is great because they don't stick out too far and you can still use the socket, all in all I'm very pleased with this one, I've been looking for quite a while. I just hope it lasts a good time.

Good idea, but tinny chime!
Being able to piggyback other plugs saves socket space, but the plugs do take up space on a rack of sockets - you can't use the next one on an extension lead. The idea of having two is also great as you can place them in different parts of the house, so that you can always hear one chiming - but the chime is really tinny and there is only the one choice - also it sounds twice when the bell is pressed, with a slight pause between and it sounds like you've got an impatient caller. However it was quite cheap, so what can I expect?

Good but wish it was louder
Good idea but the bell is a bit quiet so you would have to have it in the hall or one upstairs , if you have the tv on loud then you have to remember to bring it in the front room with you.Wish I had got some more to put around the house but it is good for when your in the garden as you can put it in the room nearest to the garden and hear when the door goes.

Worked initially but recievers soon die...
This worked well for the first month or two, then it became obvious that the range is very poor if not on brand new batteries... one downstairs rings... sort off... it stopped working properly after a couple of months, and instead has a strangled muffled sound and was consistent with that... the one upstairs only rings if brand new battery used in the sender outside... odd sized batteries too so expensive... after a month or so it stopped receiving and is only about 12 - 15 meters away, if that.I chose this one as it allowed something else to be plugged in ontop of it, so as to not loose a plug point.... but the quality is really poor and would strongly recommend you do not buy this one... if not out of free return window I would return it... but just binning and replacing instead.Wasted money.

Buy a knocker
I bought this so I can plug one in my study and one in the kitchen as I cannot hear my main doorbell when I am cooking. I had one similar one with 16 different melody selections but I gave that away because one ran with batteries and they were too expensive to replace. This arrived today. They look really cheap. They only come with one melody and it sound crap (trust me). Apart from lack of quality the sound is very low and it will not be of any use if a large house. So after regretting buying it I decided to place the bell button next to the main door bell and put a label under them. The main door bell reads "Good News" and this one reads "Bad news".Well I hope I won't get any bad news.

So far so good !!
Quick delivery, packed well . A 5 year old could install it , so simple . Like the plug feature , enabling you to still use the socket whilst bell is plugged it . Good sound , loud enough , one in hall , one in kitchen which can be heard above washer/ cooker hood noise. Can hear it in back garden with door ajar. One simple chime , which I wanted. Some purchasers have said that the bell push stops working after a few months , so far so good with this one , happy with it .
