Killed electronics - Can't be used in a vehicle - overvolt alarm
EDIT: DO NOT BUY! DESTROYED 2 EXPENSIVE ELECTRONICS!Plugged into my cigarette lighter and it worked... start my car... runs great... decided to hardwire it...Nope. Alarms with engine running... Apparently 14.4V is too much. Shut car off, runs fine...OVERVOLT warning goes away. The smaller gauge wire going to cig outlet is enough to drop voltage to something it can accept, but hardwiring to battery with heavy gauge wire is just too high of voltage.Ridiculous.Wish I could return but I'm well past the return period before I figured out it won't work when permanently installed.Edit: Installed on a 12V battery. Plugged in a 60W laptop charger, and an hour later it stopped working... thought it was just a bad charger... plugged in my milwuakee M18 battery charger that uses less than 100W...came back a couple hours and it too, is now dead. What a piece of......Not only am I out the $ for the unit, I now have over $150 in dead electronics becuase of it.!DO NOT BUY!

Very nice…
But it does draw a lot of energy, more then the one I had before. I had to recharge my batteries more often. Aloha

Good product!
It is a straightforward dc to ac converter for your car. Works right out of the box. No noise and has full sine wave output. I used it with a Ridgid battery charger to charge batteries for my cordless power tools. Now I can use my power tools as long as I want. Start and run your car from time to time to minimize a full discharge of your car battery.

Junk
First one as soon as I hooked up battery fans ran full blast and constant beeps, no power. Ordered replacement, hooked it up it came on was like great it's gonna work. Put a 200w test load, it run for about 20 seconds then the fault light came on and alarm and no power. Now nothing but fault alarm as soon as hooked up. No blow fuses just junk.

BYGD 1000W 12Vdc inverter review
I just the received the inverter today, 2-14-2024, first thing I see is that the box is ripped at the locking tab (see pictures), the unit has finger prints all over it so it looks like they sent me a returned or used unit, not brand new unit. Notes: the box is shipped inside the Amazon box which has no sign of damage, they should have inspected the unit and the box before shipping, I gave it 2-star for this reason, I just hope that it will not have a problem later on.Pro:It looks to be well built with hefty weight to it, not like some other 1000W/1500W inverters I have tested in the past, it is about half the size of my AIMS 2000W 12Vdc inverter. It has two cooling fans instead of just one fan like the other 1000W inverter, the fans are loud when full on.It does handle 1000W load without issue with clean sinewave at full load.It puts out 119.5Vac with no load, and about 117Vac at full load which is good. The standby current draws, inverter on but no AC load, is about 1A @13.30V = 13.3W, It is a little bit high, I was hoping for <10W, it will draw about 13.3W x 24 Hr = 319Wh, so you should factor this into the run time of your battery.Con:The included wires are only 10mm2/8 AWG, you should use at least 6AWG wire instead, I use 4AWG for this test. They should inspect the box and the unit before shipping to make sure they are not sending out a returned/used unit to customers.Overall it performs well for the unit at this price range, I just hope that the unit will last, I will do follow-up when I put it in use 24/7.

Working well.
First chance to use it and it just fault alarms. Of course it’s two days after the return window.*UPDATE* Seller took care of their product and remedied the issue extremely fast. Replacement is working as expected. Definitely worth trying.

Item went into Fault within 10 minutes of use. Amazon is NO Help!!!
Cheap POS, went into Fault Mode within 10 minutes of powering up, had a 300w Jackery drawing 100w plugged in, should be no issue for a 1000w/2000w inverter. Fuses are all good, tested on bench with regulated 12v input, still goes directly to Fault, Amazon was of NO help in resolving the issue, It appears that there is absolutely NO WARRANTY with this item. Item is 2 months old, just hooked up this past weekend to use, crap right out of the box. Seller needs to do the right thing and repair or replace the inverter.
