Yes it's the paperback but
Befre buying I went to halfords and found the same book in store. I can confirm that their book on sale is identical to this, though is sealed in plastic film which prevented me from flicking through to see how similar is truly is.Nevertheless I doubt any quality issues lie with the seller, and instead lie with Haynes.I have to say these books don't seem as in-depth as they once were. Pictures are just about clear enough, though links to clearer online pictures via some kind of book code wouldn't go amiss. They are small and black&white.I've also found osme missing content. I'm rustproofing the car so bought ti to suss out the proper way to remove the arch liners and sills. The manual has nothing about sill removal and fo the arch liners it just says it's pretty intuiive and to just work methodically around. The rear arch liners loop slightly around a brake cable which the manual fails to mention, and the front arch liners are full-on set around the suspension and lower arm components. I removed the rear by cutting away the small strip aroun the brake cable (better than cutting the cable!) , but removing the front arch liners would require taking half the steering components offWith the sills, I found out they have many plastic clips which like to snap when removed, so I've left that to a garage to sort. Endoscope spotted lots of rust within though,,,Overall a good manual with methodical stes but so far for the 2 or 3 things i've aimed to do it hasn't had any guidance so I can't really give it 5 stars

A good and helpful manual.
This is a good and useful manual , my Haynes manuals in the past have usually ended up well thumbed and rather oily on certain pages but I have always been grateful for their information . It’s the same with this one ,already a bit grubby , however it seems to be standing up to my less than careful use .It’s not quite up to the paper quality of my old volumes but it will last . My old manuals are fond memories of cars past , every one tells a story of the times when lack of cash forced me to attempt the work myself.Thank you John Haynes .

Ok for information
Ok but you can find out more on YouTube

Poor quality printing
Whilst the content is ok, if a little brief, the print quality and therefore the pictures do leave a bit to be desired. Certainly not as good as Haynes used to be. On reflection try youtube for a video first if you intend to do a job.

Still good, but poor quality paper.
The content of the Haynes manuals is as good as it’s ever been, but the quality of the manual has been lost. It used to have a hard back cover and clean white pages, not any more, the pages are grey and look like they’re made from recycled waste.

Just my opinion!!!, could do better 🤷♂️
The paper used for the manual is obviously recycled as the quality is very poor which translates to difficult reading in certain light I.e. In the garage 🙄🙄🙄

It's OK.
The photos should be in colour.
