Diono Radian 5 - Midnight black (Discontinued by Manufacture)

We have been looking at car seats for our grandson for some time now...consequently when this one came along we grabbed it!We will be able to use the seat for him (And maybe other grand children to came) instead of having to buy different age seats.The seat is really a big one, which it needs to be as it fits children up to seven years old too!, but it fits fine in our Vauxhall Meriva.There is certainly ample legroom,though as he is only 9 months old at the moment, that is exactly as it should be.Fitting the car seat is a wee bit fiddly and It is slightly difficult to thread the car seat belt through the seat base as the gap is not quite wide enough for my hand and the buckle tends to slip down through a slot in the base.Although the instruction manual is very useful there is also a extremely helpful You Tube tutorial which I will not post the link, to as the last time I did that,Amazon woudn't post my review until I had removed the link.Though a quick Google will find it!One thing I have noticed is that the cup holders are pretty pointless as the seat arm covers goes over the cup holder holes...perhaps the manufacturers should look at having the arm rest covers made with appropriate holes!Photo of my Great nephew Sam.....Happy in the seat!Kiddies car seats seem to come in all sorts of shapes and sizes...and Prices! this one seems to be in the mid to upper price range.Which, as it is a long term investment (Birth to seven yrs) seems to be a very reasonable price.So final opinion...I have nothing to compare this with as I have never had a baby seat before,but to my mind this is a great long term kiddy car seat which I would certainly buy another if the need arose!

Really happy with this seat I got because my very large toddler did not fit in her cybex sirona anymore as it only goes up to 18kg weight and this goes to 25kg.We put it rear facing to begin with as my little girl is only 2 and a half, but quickly found it was almost impossible to tighten the straps because of the angle you had to pull the tightening strap at because of it being rear facing.We also had a problem with our Citroen c4 Picasso as there was no rear tether point on the floor of the car. I rang Diono and they seemingly had no suggestions and just said maybe its not suitable for your car? Even though on the car fitting list is said it was fine!So we have now turned her forward facing, and this way round it is great, very sturdy and comfortable and looks super safe.So if your buying it specifically for rear facing id just advise going to a shop that has it and trying it out first to see if it works well in your car.

All well, as expected from reading the reviews. Pleased with how solid it is yet comfortable with the memory foam. Narrow fit so we have more room in the back of a normal 5 seat car. Comfortable for 21 month old and easy to adjust the strap height - she was too tall for the 2nd level, but I easily changed it to the 3rd height without removing the car seat. Was a little finicky to ensure I got all the installation details correct initially. I have it on the passenger side of the car in the back seat. The top of it rests on the back of the front seat, which is required to support it (which is different from the other car seat I have which was not supposed to touch the front seats, so I had to double check this a few times). I managed via watching online video instructions to tether the strap at the back of the car seat to the seat runner on the floor, as there is no latch on the floor in my car. And finally, the plastic red clip that keeps the seat belt from loosening was hard to close, I was afraid it would break when I was closing it over the 2 layers of seat belt, but it doesn't - it's meant to be extremely tight fitting. Oh - that reminds me, the strap that the red plastic piece is attached to seems too short to reach the far side of the car seat, but you can slide it out of the path that it is threaded into to make it longer. All in all, this is a car seat we'll keep in one car and not switch back and forth. But really, now that I know how to do it, it would be fine to move.

This car seat has some really nice features and is well built but there was one big problem fitting it in my car.We wanted our daughter to be rear facing for longer but the problem came when we had to tether it to the under side of the front seat. The instructions (on an usb stick and printed out) say to wrap the belt under the front seats fixing so it fixes it down properly, but my car doesn't have anywhere to loop this belt around.So we were left with front facing the car seat and to do this we had to use the same tether belt but find a point to hook it around in the boot. We didn't have anywhere to do this so I had to cut some of the carpet felt away in the boot and feed the belt around the bolts of the frame holding the back seats to the car. In the end it was very secure and the green sticker was showing to confirm it was tight enough but find it strange that i should have to do all this in the 1st place. This car seat will not work in every car so check if you have points to lock it onto. There are some videos on youtube that show you how to fit and I would watch these before buying to check it fits your car.Fitting aside its really sturdy and well built, one feature I like is when you place your child in the car and tighten the belts it does so in stages so you can make sure its not too tight. It comes with a cup holder and a memory foam seat so apart from the fitting its a good car seat.

This is a remarkably poor product. It is incredibly difficult to fit and is genuinely unsafe for a child to travel in. The seat wobbles and is loose at the top. It comes with a harness strap that is only applicable to US cars and I would urge customers not to purchase this. It does not do the required job.

Es una silla robusta que cumple con la legislación vigente de llevar al niño de espaldas a la marcha hasta los 4 años y después darle la vuelta... la instalación es un poco lenta porque hay varios pasos a seguir una vez puesta es genial porque el cinturón para el niño es el de la silla no el del coche, el cinturón del coche se utiliza para sujetar la silla al coche...La tela es de excelente calidad, el respaldo y el asiento es muy acolchado lo que la hace muy cómoda, se desfonda para lavarla y queda perfecta, el porta vasos muy útil para viajes.El peso es bastante, cuando la cambias de coches es más engorroso pero una vez instalada ese peso le da mucha firmeza y estabilidad

Ce que l'on recherchait: un siège 0+/1/2 pour un enfant de 13kg, de moins de 43cm de large et assez sécurisé. Il est parfait dans ce rôle, et il est confort avec sa mousse à mémoire de forme. Dans le C3 Picasso, avec la cale à acheter en sus, ça rentre sans problème en position dos à la route au milieu (sur les places de côté aussi). A ne pas mettre dans une plus petite voiture, ça ne rentrerait pas. En tout cas le siège parfait pour avoir 3 enfants derrière (en alternant face à la route et dos à la route quand même).

Ich hab 2 von diesen Sitzen bei mir zuhause , fuer meinen fast 4 Jahre Alten, und meine 17 Monate alte Tochter. Mein Sohn hat seinen Sitz schon fast 2 Jahre. Ich wuerde vorschlagen gut nachzulesen wie man den Sitz gescheit einbaut. Car Seats for the Littles.org hat sehr gute reviews und Vorschlage dafuer. Da es ja 5 mal sicherer ist fuer die Kinder , laut statistiken und Unfall Aerzten, gegen die Fahrtrichtung zu sitzen, ist dieser Sitz die perfekte Loesung. Mein Sohn ist fast 4, und sitzt nachwievor bequem, ohne probleme so.Es ist das Geld wert.

Siège très bien noté aux crash test en dos route uniquement (recommandé par Sécurange d'ailleurs).Siège ceinturé uniquement (pas en isofix).Valable jusqu'à 25kg de l'enfant environ ce qui est un très bon point.Il est un peu long à installer une 1ere fois mais ensuite quand on a compris le systeme ca va tout seul.Mon fils s'y sent très bien dedans.Je recommande ce siège qui reste à un prix très abordable.

montaje algo lioso.Cinchas de muy buena calidad, pero a la hora de ajustar para distintas edades es nun poco laborioso reajustar las.por lo demas es genial.bastante ancha de hombros.
