Nerf N-strike Elite Hail fire

I was quite sceptical buying this Nerf gun as we already have a number of Nerf guns that take the old style black and orange bullets, however I am pleased to say that the new elite bullets are backwards compatible with older guns.This gun was a real winner for my son on Christmas day, it was simple to put together and really easy to load and use even for a 7 year old. In use the range is awesome, it's very accurate and the semi-automatic firing is super-fast.My fault for not reading every detail on the Amazon page but I was disappointed to find that it only comes with 4 of the 8 clips required to complete its capacity. What's more each clip holds 6 bullets (total capacity of 48 bullets) the Amazon page advertises 144 bullets! this is only possible if you replace the clips you have and buy 8 new clips with a 18 bullet capacity each.4 more clips with 6 bullet capacity each Hasbro 91848 Nerf - Elite hail-fire Mission kit (around £20)1 more clip with 18 bullet capacity each Nerf N-Strike Elite 18-Dart Clip (around £9.50)So in summary brilliant gun, loads of fun but can get very expensive with the accessories.

Magazine cover does not fall off! We did have this problem at first. Then I had a closer look. You must push the front of the cover down untill it clicks loudly over the little bar on the breach! Then the same with the back. It might take grown up force, and there could be a fine balance between clicking or braking! Once it has clicked it is on for good. Bought at Christmas it still works! Great toy, tho 70 euros in France!!

Its a gift so not allowed to be opened yet however it looks totally massive and amazing, my boy is beside himself waiting to open it! It arrived here in Spain within days of ordering,really well packaged, super duper!!

I received this today and am very disappointed due the barrel constantly getting jammed. The magazine is not being overloaded so no reason for it to jam.Update 28/01/19After changing the batteries to better quality ones, it works much better and jams less often.

Got 2 of these as they were reduced to £22.49 for my Son(8yo)and Daughter (11yo) and after having some trouble with the non motor assisted models.I knew it only came with 4 clips and to be fair Nerf should have sold the item with all the 8x5 dart clips that it can hold... why sell the item with only half of the clips me thinks???? let me guess ... £NERF£Understandably if some one wanted to upgrade these clips to the 18 dart clips then it should be at there own expense which is fair enough,but over all this machine is very good and lots of fun.Am now thinking about buying another hailfire and 3 sets of safty glasses! as they are going to have so much fun and i will feel left out lol.

Any Nerf gun is a hit in this household. There are not many kids toys these days that actually work well and are robust enough not to break after a couple of goes and don't break the bank. Every Nerf gun we have (and we have quite a variety!) still works as well as the day it was brought.

PLUS is that you can load lots of darts in the various cartridges (but you don't get enough cartridges as standard - have to buy them as extra and they are expensive).NEGATIVE putting the gun together we almost broke it due to lack of clear instructions. Also, has taken my son a while to get used to loading the cartridges - the gun often gets jammed which defeats the object of having lots of dart capacity.OVERALL - ok, but not the best designed Nerf Gun.

I only own 2 pistol Nerf guns and I had some much fun with them when my GF bough them for me for my birthday. I decided to treat her to one of these bad boys. Sadly, I was killed in battle almost imminently since my guys are practically useless against this.The gun only comes with the small cartridges which is a shame, but if you have the money would recommend getting everything you can just to make it a little more fun!
