Mr. Twister MT-1208 Mr Twister SW Piranha Knife, One Size, White, Blue

This has quickly become my favorite fillet knife. I used to use an old cheap turkey cutting knife. It worked well for years and I was sad when it quit working....until....I got the Mr. Twister. It is the best electric knife I have used, I have tried a Rapala and a few other brands and they did not work all that well. This one has the power to cut through large catfish bones and the ability to finesse through delicate trout fillets. The only thing that I don't like is that my hand sometimes get fatigued with a bunch of fillets. Could be me, could be the knife, have had it happen with other knives too. Overall, I love it and would not trade it.

I was underwhelmed a bit. Basically just like the cheaper green Mister Twister but longer blades. The alleged more power was not noticeable. But It works fine and I’ll use it till it dies. The green version usually last a couple years so we shall see.

We purchased this after our Cuisinart electric knife died after 5 years, did not use it more than 5 times per year. I was determined to find a better electric for home use carving turkey, ham, etc. The reviews on most electric knives are horrible, just garbage. This has a more powerful motor than many knives, comes in 2 versions, and the blades are very sharp. 1 year warranty and the manufacturer will repair it when the warranty has passed for a nominal fee. Extraordinary! This Piranha version is blue/white with a 9 inch blade and from amazon or the manufacturer's website you can order the 7.5 inch blades for a very low price. The Mister Twister electric knives were marketed to the fish filleting industry and they can cut through fish bones. It has worked fine for us so far,cutting turkey, ham, pot roast and the 9 inch blades are OK. Commercial electric knives for use in restaurants and food service operations no longer exist. This is the closest knife to a commercial model but it has been used on fish and bones. We have high hopes. This knife did not come with a box for storage, but I hunted on amazon and found a perfect plastic box: IRIS Supply Case-Large Amazon ASIN # is B009ok9cx8. Measures 13.5 X 5.2 X 2.5 inches, made of clear plastic with 2 snaps on the side, for $6.99. It fits the electric knife, 2 blades, and the 6 ft. electrical cord we use for convenience in using the knife, also purchased from amazon. Safer than storing in a bag. Fits perfectly.

Be careful when ordering, there is a history here of others not getting what they were shown! I ordered this electric knife with a case, received it without one!! Several other reviews said the same thing! Very disappointed……

This has got to be the best electric fish cleaning knife on the market today. I'm retired and fish almost everyday, so my knives get a workout (not bragging to much) I was going thru some of the other knives like every 3 or 4 months cleaning crappie and bass. Since I started using this knife I probably use 1 a year or a little more.Can't say enough good things about this knife.

Purchased this knife through Amazon two years ago, best electric knife I have ever used. I clean redfish and ground mullet and flounder and it does a superb job of filleting just about any type of fish, saltwater and fresh. I purchased it for mainly cutting up brisket, roast, and ham, I cook and slice several around the last four months of the year and it performs better than any other electric knife. Great knife!

This did not come with the blade shown in the Picture. The blade that comes with it does not come out to a fine point. It is the same blade that would come with a carving knife suitable for cutting up a turkey. Also, the picture shows what appears to be some sort of a carrying bag shown below the knife in the package. It doesn't come with anything else at all. Just the knife and the very disappointing blade. I'll be returning this item.
