My husband had already bought these but with black handles from another brand and he loves them because they're really handy for little jobs he has around the house like fixing doors and gates etc. I saw these for a reduced price and thought I'd get them for him as spares. I was a little sceptical because there was a 1 star review but there were no comments saying why. So I bought them anyway. Turns out that they are as good if not better than the other ones. He now uses these more than the other ones. Could be the bright color because they're so easy to find!Still not sure about the 1 star review because these work great.

The load bearing parts are made of composite plastic and I was a little disappointed with that, but overall they appear to be strong, I lifted a washer and a refrigerator with ease and the tool held up nicely, the only problem I ran into was lowering the appliances, there's only a release button so going back down is challenging, but all in all definitely worth the price and I would buy again

Inexpensive, and now I know why. No graduated release means when you release the lift, there is no control over the drop, it collapses immediately to the ground from whatever height it is currently set at. Also, the entire unit seems to shift away from whatever is being lifted as you lift, meaning the amount of the lift supporting the object is reduced as you lift. All in all this appears to be a cheaply made, probably dangerous version of a decent idea.

I have found these mini jacks very handy for helping to lift and level drywalls in our renovations. I didn’t need anyone else to help which solved a lot of problems…as well my back! I got creative and also used to them lift our couch to get rollers under so I couldmove it to another room. It is a handy tool to have a great value for the price! Thinking of getting another pair for back up.

Product is pricey without a storage case.Better manufacturing practices, and better construction of product than original purchase.
