Love these, not brilliantly made but certainly do the job well enough far better than some expensive ones I have bought. They also look good and cute! The seeds stayed in and didn't get wet as without others even when swinging in the rough weather, yet the small birds were easily able to get the food. Bought two and for now that's enough but if needed will buy again.

These look ok and are very well made. The only thing i found is that they are rather small. This makes it difficult to hang on a stand and also the birds have difficulty feeding off them.

This mini-lantern bird seed feeder is perfect for the small garden birds in my garden. We are blessed with many bird species inhabiting our garden space. The larger birds like jackdaws and crows tend to boss the little birds away from the feeding station and take the food. This little gem of a feeder will allow the smaller birds to get to the seeds. The larger birds will have a bit of a challenge.I am impressed with the quality and design of the feeder. The lid fits tightly into the cavity which ensures the greedy bigger birds will not be unable to lift the top.

This is a very sturdy feeder and value for money in terms of the fact that the squirrels haven't managed to destroy it, however, the whole reason for buying it was to try and prevent the squirrels eating all the food and it hasn't.

Sparrows and starlings can feed from this feeder pigeons cannot

This product is clearly marketed towards people who want to prevent seed being eaten by large birds and squirrels - the bars on the outside of the product are supposed to ensure that.Within hours of the local squirrel discovering this feeder, it had chewed off both the plastic bird perches which substantially reduced the feeder's usefulness to birds as it meant that only blue tits were dexterous enough to feed from it, and it was substantially harder for them to feed because they had no perch.After a couple of days, the squirrel learned to hang upside down from the branch and tip the feeder on its side, so as the seed would fall into its mouth (a bit like tipping a bag of crisps). The photo I have uploaded shows this.So in conclusion, the feeder fails in the main purpose that it is marketed for. If you don't have squirrels living near you, and you only have pigeons etc, then perhaps it would be a good purchase but otherwise I can't recommend it as the squirrels will simply eat all the seed. In addition to this, I only ever saw blue tits actually using the feeder (the local robin tried but didn't seem to be able to feed). Also, the the latch on the lid of the feeder is a bit fiddly and not hugely well made so I can see why some people would have trouble with opening and closing the lid.If the feeder was heavier (so squirrels couldn't tip it) and had metal perches that couldn't be gnawed off then it would perform better. However this would mean an inevitable increase in price and still wouldn't be entirely squirrel proof due to its small size. I have purchased a Jacobi Jane Squirrel Buster feeder instead which is a lot larger unfortunately but has a lot more metal components and weight.

Doesn't prevent starlings stealing all the food. I wanted the smaller birds to get a chance to feed, but the cage around the feeder is so close to the seed dispensing holes that the starlings just hang on the cage and stick their heads in. The lid didn't cover the seed tube and let the rain in until I bent it over to one side. Doesn't hold much seed, but then it is a "mini" feeder. Needs refilling daily after the starlings have been at it so buy an industrial sized sack of bird feed!

Within 5 minutes of hanging our bluetits were tucking in so what better proof that it works 👍🏼 Easy to fill and looks easy to clean (although havent tried that yet) and sturdy metal chain for hanging. Will be buying the one for nuts too

Seuls les moineaux arrivent à manger... Cela fait 3 ans qu'il est dehors sous la pluie et il ne s'est pas abimé. Les pigeons ne peuvent rien attraper mais restent en dessous pour attendre que les miettes tombent...

Les petits oiseaux ne peuvent rentrer dans la protections.et les gros secouent et fond tomber le contenu au sol pour servir.
