The Daily Stoic Boxed Set

The Epitome of 'Locking In'
I feel like the Daily Stoic Journal is easy to pick up anytime during the year. You have 52 different weeks & a theme for each week. I started on the week about "Dealing with Haters" - because I was dealing with a stalker at the time. Then I started working from week one. I feel like as long as you see through the week you've chosen, you can pretty much do the journal in any order. However, I feel like the Daily Stoic BOOK can be a little more difficult to keep up with if you don't start at the beginning of the year. Just be sure to mark your place & you'll be fine. I started in August & I'm on January 22nd in the book? I would recommend doing this one start to finish. There's chapters/steps that help you get a well-rounded understanding of Stoicism.Sometimes I find myself referring back to The Book when writing in the journal. But I do find the book to be less impactful on my life than the journal. Highly recommend doing them both daily. Also, I would recommend looking into other philosophies as well. I enjoy Stoicism for controlling one's mind & actions. But some of the concepts about man's place in nature & purpose isn't for me. Later teachings lean towards Altruistic ideologies, which have their place. But I fear that in the wrong hands, Stoicism could be dangerous for a people pleaser. I'll be looking into Nietzsche's books and Ethical Egoism next.

Life Changing books
In your study of stoicism, these books are a must. In all honestly, I'm not hitting it every day, but I keep up with the correct dates when I do. I fully plan on my children reading this along with my notes one day. Very happy, I'm learning a lot, and I feel more centered after reading.

Very Helpful Set
These books are a great addition to my library of Stoic thought. Each day is a short read, about a 1/2 page or less of various topics to think about - it is a great way to start the day. I bought a spiral notebook to write in instead of the Journal, I just copy the question and write an answer - less than a page a day. (Writing in the hard-bound journal is not relaxing to me!) I started reading the entries for August when I received the set, and I can see myself starting my day with these books for years to come.

Nice structured study
Nice quality. Looks nice. But use it. It's not just a decoration. It's work. Get after it.My only advice is if you fall off for a week or two your first time through, just start back up where you left off and ignore the labeled days at the top.You don't have to crush this thing in a year. Get into it everytime you get that desire to read philosophy. For me it's like one week a month that I get a feeling like I want to get deep.Instead of poking at Thomas Aquinas one time and then Rousseau another time and having this weird scattered Duncan Trussel style conversation with the next poor soul that wants to get deep, I just come back to this and it keeps me on track with one thing and scratches that itch.👍 👍

Good Stoic.
It is a fathom deep read for a ponder or to pondering art. To Fallow It, up on. To live in a lone mind. Not that it is lonesome or isolation. For those whom want ChatGp AI. Will that, defeat the purpose of lonesome in MIND stoicness.

You know most of this stuff intuitively, but focusing on it every morning & evening helps.
I'm from New England. We're kind of natural stoics. LOL!We are ruggedly independent, occasionally to a fault. We are frugal and efficient, but could probably stand to loosen up a bit. We live and let live. We mind our own business. Until one of ours needs help, then we circle the wagons.New Englanders plan for the future. Our weather alone makes that a necessity. Where we sometimes fall short is in assuming more is under our control than actually is. This can make us somewhat myopic and unforgiving of others who fail to plan better. These books are great daily meditation, bringing you back to focus on what is in your control and how you want to live your life.

Works Wonders in Two Weeks
This is a great read and actually helps me daily whereas things like therapy were not as effective. This helps me beyond anything I thought possible
