NikonProstaff 3S 8X42 Binoculars

I have just received these and on first impressions they seem very good. They have a solid feel and are small enough to easily carry around in my back pack when hillwalking. I have only had cheap and low quality binoculars before these seem to be well worth the extra cost for my occasional use. The imaging is bright and clear.Though others have commented on a lack of separate carrying strap for the case I don't see this an issue. The case is designed so that the strap on the binoculars sits outside and so you can carry the binoculars around your neck either inside the case or without the case. There is also a feature to keep the eye piece covers attached to the strap and you can, if you wish, attach the objective lens to the cover too.

I bought these binoculars to look at the birds and animals whilst out walking. I had an old pair of binoculars which I was using before. These are so bright and a joy to use! I can see the beautiful birds and animals with clarity. The lens caps are a bit annoying at times (I have dropped them a few times!) but the picture is fantastic.

I've bought binoculars from £33 upwards, and these compare well but for much more money, but they are waterproof. I'm sure they will last a lifetime. The plastic around the eyepieces seems to react with the skin below my eyebrows, and has created a nasty rash at times. They are a bit heavy, but are well made and I feel confident that they wouldn't break if I dropped them. I believed I was buying a Japanese product, but guess what? They are made in China. However, I would recommend them.

Purchased these to knock around along the Thames with-compared them to the budget Eyeskey (which I found excellent except for the fuzzy diameter edge-spherical aberration?)The Prostaff are light weight-excellent marriage with my spec’s and I can hold them with one hand and focus easily!Replaced the front caps with fixed ring ones(£5.99) Can’t see that the ED Nikons justify the extra money as when will I ever experience chromatic aberration?(maybe on safari)

These are great binoculars, very clear and easy to use. Haven't used them in the field yet but looking forward to that. My old binoculars are small and they can be a bit difficult to focus through. These are a nice size, I have very small hands but find these easy to handle. Love Nikon products and use their cameras and these don't disappoint.Update on review. Have now used these in the field and they are brilliant. They are very clear and make viewing so easy. Can't believe the difference from my old binocs. Would highly recommend

Superb pair of binoculars that offer excellent value for money. Bought them for my wife who wanted a light pair of 8 or 10Xs and she found them very comfortable. Only quibbles: 1) the strap could usefully do with some padding on the shoulder (as some other reviews have noted); and 2) the lens covers are easily lost and misplaced. Otherwise, little to complain about if you want a good pair of bins for wildlife / bird watching.

I have a really large and heavy pair of binoculars so I wanted the same vision but in a small handy size. I am not disappointed! These binoculars are great, light, adjustable and good value for money. Would totally recommend.

These binoculars are exactly what I wanted. Excellent build quality, easy focussing, bright optics. Ideal for wildlife viewing or just general use.I have put a wider (old Nikon camera strap) on them as the narrow strap supplied became a tad uncomfortable after a hour.No issues with list lens caps (yet).

Très contente de mon achat (10x42 3S prostaff). Achetée en promo.Le contenu :• Les jumelles,• Une sangle de coup.• 2 capuchons d’objectif• 1 capuchon d’oculaire double• Une sacocheLes jumelles : étant débutante et donc non spécialiste, je ne donne que mon « ressenti » concernant les propriétés optiques de ces jumelles. Je les trouve très claire. L’image est lumineuse et reste bien visible même en fin de journée, lorsque le soleil est déjà couché mais qu'il ne fait pas encore nuit. On voit bien la lune, mais ce n’est pas un télescope !). La mise au point est précise et facile (d’un doigt). Utilisables sans problème avec des lunettes de vue. Elles sont assez légères mais font quand même leur poids (presque 600 g). C’est bien pour stabiliser l’image mais un peu lourd pour les garder autour du cou une journée avec la sangle fournie. Si vous les pliez au max, elles ne font que 11 cm de large (voir photo). Matière antidérapante agréable au touché qui me semble facile d’entretien. Verres « écologiques » sans arsenic ni plomb.La sangle : 25 mm de large, longueur jusqu'à 120 je pense. Suffisante si vous n’envisagez pas de garder les jumelles à portée de main uniquement autour du cou sur de longues périodes. Je l’ai remplacée par une optech bien large et ajustée à la forme du cou.Les capuchons d’objectif : Tiennent bien sur les jumelles. Le système d’accroche pour ne pas les perdre ne me semble pas bien pratique (glisser la sangle dans l’encoche prévue sur le capuchon lorsqu’on les enlève – voir photo). Pour ma part, je les mettrai dans la sacoche, cela me semble beaucoup plus simple.Le capuchon d’oculaire : à revoir, le système « ressort » fait qu’il s’enlève vraiment facilement des jumelles si elles ne sont pas en ouverture maximale.La sacoche : La bonne surprise, je n’avais pas vu qu’elle était fournie et envisagé en acheter une (optech) qui au final aurait été moins bien. Vraiment top. Très légère (52g) parfaitement adaptée aux jumelles. Offre une bonne protection avec une fermeture par scratch. Suffisante pour glisser la grosse sangle optech sur le côté (voir photo). Et surtout à un gros passant bien costaud pour la fixer à une large ceinture (sac à dos ou banane). En la fixant à la ceinture et en réglant la sangle (même celle fournie) avec une grande longueur, c’est finalement la ceinture qui porte les lunettes, et pas le cou. Top.MAIS ne se fixe pas sur trépied ou si cela est le cas, je n'ai pas trouvé comment, le cache qui permets habituellement de fixer l'adaptateur ne se retire pas.Pour mes premières jumelles « de qualité » pour observer les animaux, chez moi ou en randonnée, je suis pleinement satisfaite. Moins 1 étoile pour les capuchons pas parfaits et le fait qu'il ne soit pas possible de fixer les jumelles sur trépied mais +1 pour la qualité optique ressentie, la sacoche et le prix.

Ein für diesen Preis unschlagbar leichtes und sehr lichtstarkes Fernglas mit einer super scharfen und klaren Durchsicht! Zudem liegt es unfassbar gut in der Hand und wiegt vielleicht soviel wie eine Feder:D. Ich bin begeistert!!!

Le lenti sono evidentemente trattate, il grip e l'impugnatura è molto buona e comoda.Non noto aberrazioni particolari, le immagini risultano tutte molto luminose e definite.Vengono forniti: laccio portabinocolo, custodia, binocolo, coprilenti.Il prodotto é garantito dieci anni, bisogna registrarlo seguendo le indicazioni.
