BernatBlanket Extra Chunky Chenile Acrylic Yarn - (Pack of 2)

I love this yarn so much that after buying a couple of skeins for a hat I bought 16 more for a blanket and am buying more for a second blanket. It’s a pleasure to work with! Using size 13 circular needles (60 inch) it knits up beautifully and a straight knit stitch looks lovely with this yarn. It knits up fast. Feels warm and pleasant in your hands- it really is a pleasure to work with. I will be making 3 or 4 more blankets with it!

Few if no knots and very easy to crochet. It's very soft and the colors are consistent. I wish it were easier on Amazon to see little pictures of all the colors in stock in 1 screen. Maybe it depends on the vendor? It's tedious having to click on each name in the menu to see the colors. The names aren't always indicative of the color, especially if it's variegated or a twist.

I bought this thinking it would be bigger but really didn't want it to be. It's the perfect size for me to hand knit/crochet a blanket for my granddaughters. I am going to make 5 by Christmas. They are not going to be perfect but they will cherish them since I made them for each one. It's very soft and the pattern I am using (from YouTube) makes it nice and thick.Update: Here is one blanket finished. It's not perfect, but my grandchildren will love it because I made it!!

Have started crocheting a blanket out of this, and I am very impressed with its thickness, softness, and warmth! The variegated purple color is nice, too - especially contrasted with the Bernat off-white/cream color 😊That being said, be careful when you're using it - if you have to unravel your stitches, it doesn't look as pretty when you re-knit/crochet it. 😜

What I like about this yarn is the softness and beauty of it. However as a newcomer to crochet I am finding it hard to work with this beautiful, thick yarn. I have purchased a 15mm crochet hook and will continue struggling to crochet with it. For someone new at crocheting I suggest you buy a thinner yarn. All Bernat yarns are soft and beautiful. This review was edited two months later: I love this yarn and have gotten used to the ease of crocheting with it. If you buy it you will not be disappointed as it is easy to work with as well as soft and beautiful. My son loves the blanket I made with the yarn. It is soft and beautiful.

I made two small lap blankets with this yarn. It’s very cozy and I like the mix of color

I made a small blanket for one of my kids with this yarn and he never takes it off, he wears it like a cape, so I bought more and I'm making him a bigger blanket. So easy to work with. 9mm hook, single crochet across till you find the width, then turn your work, half double crochet in the second stitch from the hook, then half double across, turn your work, chain two, half double across, and repeat. Beautiful blanket.

I bought this color since it was so much cheaper than the others and it's my first try at finger crochet. However, I didn't purchase what the YouTube instructions said: this is a bit finer yarn even though it is chunky and Jumbo 7 weight: it's not as thick or sturdy as the Bernat Blanket Big. IT DOES WORK FINE: I simply needed to adjust my chains to a bit smaller ones. I do really like the transitions of color and have completed the first few rows of my blanket (once I got the tension down ... loose ... loose ... loose). I'm please with this product: NOTE each skein is 97 yds and not the 32 yds the Blanket Big is. I am returning some of what I bought as I purchased WAAY too much but it's beautiful yarn and perfect for my first blanket!

What's there to say about yarn? I found this really pricey, maybe that's just the cost for chunky yarn, but it does the job. It does however fray, there's small bits of green fluff around my house.

I use this to make a very large queen size quilt. This product is amazing. It’s easy to work with is easy to remove when crocheting if you need to fix one of your stitches all in all, I love this it’s super soft, super durable and it made a beautiful blanket.
