Grimm's game and wood design, rainbow (6-pieces, medium)

I ordered 2 of these rainbows in the small and medium sizes. What arrived (thanks to Amazon's packers not reading the order details) was 2 small ones. I sent one back and got a refund straight away....only what I asked for was an exchange for a medium one........so I then had to reorder a medium one separately.Having finally got what I wanted, I have to say the product quality is excellent. Bright vibrant colours and an unvarnished slightly rough wood finish help the pieces stack on top of one another without slipping. I (and the kids) really like that being unvarnished, it doesn't feel plasticky. I did however end up giving them both a coat of beeswax polish as they have no stain protection.The small 10.5cm rainbow sits on my hand and is very cute, the kids adore it and it's already been made into a dolls cradle, house walls, restaurant booth, armchair sets, rocking chairs and mountain! Very open ended and sparks off heaps of creative play. The bigger one makes wonderful flower petal shaped houses for pegdolls and little animals and bridges and big tower buildings. We team the rainbows with rainbow coloured building blocks (you can get these from Grimms too but I decided to make my own by cutting up a strip of pine from a DIY shop, sanding and painting the pieces) and various other open ended small loose parts for building, along with my homemade pegdoll families. The kids absolutely adore this set with the rainbows and other blocks, and I love how it encourages creative play. it is really popular with all ages, 2 to 10!

This grimms rainbow is just fantastic. I made a big mistake in purchasing a cheaper rainbow of the same size and i wish i had purchased this instead. Yes its slightly more expensive, but the play ability it has is second to none. It has a rough texture which is a must for stacking. My 2 year old plays with it in so many different ways and really uses her imagination. Just and all round amazing open ended toy amd perfect for babies, toddlers and older children alike.

I love this so much. Such a beautiful toy and endless possibilities for play. Definitely smaller than I expected, but suitable for my toddler. Would make an excellent baby shower or first birthday gift as it’s lovely quality, and much better than the usual boring pink or blue clothes that everyone buys!! It also looks lovely on a shelf as a decoration when not being played with.A word of warning though, it’s so lovely that you will probably just end up ordering the larger 12 piece version (and the pastel one, the natural wood one, the semi-circles etc....)

Amazing for open-ended play. This rainbow is bridges for my boys' cars, used at the bottom of ramps to catch the balls that go down it, turned upside down they are rocking beds for little dolls, build towers with, put lengthways side-by-side to great hills for cars to go over etc etc. And looks lovely on a bookcase...so bright and colourful. Only downside is it's a bit pricey. I ideally wanted the large one but too expensive. This size is fine though. It's played with most days by my 2 and 4 year olds. It's not something they usually go and get themselves but I usually put it beside them when playing with something else and they incorporate it into their play. Brilliant, simple toy that develops and encourages imaginative play.

Fantastic quality - stained rather than painted so I don't have to worry about it getting chipped or my child ingesting paint flecks. I was worried it would be too small, but it's actually a great size. Small enough to be brought around (have kept it in changing bag for play on the go when visiting friends or eating out) but still large enough to play extensively with. We stack it, knock it down, build little houses/bridges/towers with it, use arcs as telephones, hats, little rocking cradles for toy animals (works very well with Holztiger wooden animal toys)... and my daughter is only just 12 months now. Can't wait to see our use of this toy grow as she does. Absolutely worth the money - it seems expensive but that old adage of buy cheap buy twice rings true.

This is a nicely made product and it is a good size - the nesting pieces are deeper than cheaper options, though this doesn't really justify the cost. Since purchasing this item I have been disappointed to find significantly cheaper version added to own-brand supermarket ranges for example.The wood is quite lightweight - durable but not going to hurt little feet if it tumbles, plus we have no chipping or scratching occur on the paintwork despite some rough play. The edges are rounded very nicely so there are no hard edges.It is a lovely toy for versatile play - the pieces can obviously be nested or stacked, used for balance games... plus it is a lovely addition to a nursery shelf for its ornamental value alone.My biggest issue with the toy is that it is missing a colour! Indigo and violet have been merged into just one purple block. I am kicking myself for not noticing it before I bought it. A ridiculous oversight for a toy that claims to be a rainbow!

This is a lovely little rainbow, with the emphasis on little. When it arrived I assumed it would be a lot bigger but that's probably my fault for not reading the description properly. Considering this is a gift for a little girl who is about to turn one I think It'll be fine for tiny hands and will bring a lot of joy. My own five year old was very taken with it and wanted to keep it. The colours are lovely and it is made from sturdy wood. I'm sure it'll receive a lot of love from tiny hands.

I’ve gifted this twice now to 1 y.o. children. Nothing ever was more appreciated by parents. Grimms toys are versatile for parents of all different tastes and kids of course love them.Will continue to look for Grimms first when buying baby gifts

L'arcobaleno è costituito da sei archi, di un buon legno e dai colori vivaci; ma la migliore qualità è la profondità degli archi, che è la caratteristica che rende il gioco così versatile...Diventa un ponte oppure capovolto un dondolo; incastrando un arco dentro ad un altro ora diventa un braccialetto...Insomma si spazia molto con la fantasia, permettendo ai bambini di divertirsi seguendo la loro immaginazione.Il costo è elevato, date comunque le relative dimensioni, ma lo ritengo il migliore degli arcobaleni in legno in commercio!Lo ricomprerei!!!
