You’ll have to consult your airline about their baggage allowance. This bag has the maximum dimensions permitted by most airlines - in other words this is your cabin suitcase.

Q: Does it actually have a shape? It's one thing that the dimensions fit easyJet requirements, but it can be tricky if the bag just balloons with things.

Yes it does have a shape - this will only be apparent if the bag is full. However, the material is very strong but it is flexible and so it may be a different shape each time depending on what is inside. I have used mine on board BA flights. It really does hold a lot of items and can be packed in such a way that you maintain the width, depth and height you need. I hope that this helps.

Hi, difficult to be precise because it's very flexible. Actual base is 200mm x 450mm. The height will depend on the volume you put in but it's nominally around 320mm with the ends clipped down. It does "bulge" as you pack so if you do go for it you'll need a tape measure handy when you pack. I'm really pleased with mine.

I haven't used this bag on a Ryanair flight. It was full on an Aurigny flight but wouldn't go in overhead locked so pushed under seat in front. This bag holds a lot! So, it is dependant on how much you put in in, whether it would squash into the measuring rack they use. Brilliant bag though.
