Small and light weight books. Keeps my second grader entertained.

My 2nd grader had this on her summer reading list. We read it every night together. While she did struggle with some of the made up/weird words in it we enjoyed it together and she loved reading to me.

My 4yr old loves to read this book. He’ll read 3 pages while I read 1 page until we’ve read an entire chapter each night. My son loves the story and it’s an easy read with some challenging words for him to progress in decoding skills. I really wish the illustrations were in color though.

Really fun!My 6 year old loved it and we are reading the second one now. Good for boys, girls and aliens. A fun look at what it’s like to be an “outsider” and new in town. I like that this book has diversity but does not call attention to it, just lets the kids be kids and the parents be parents.I really recommend this read! Quick, fun, funny and a good conversation starter. Very good for reading together with level 2 or so readers.Give it a try!

My 2nd grader LOVES this series! She got one of the books from her school library and asked me to buy the whole set. It’s such an easy read, we can finish a book in a few nights and she never wants me to stop!
