Great value. Plus it's one of the best looking EDC knives I've seen, regardless of price
I have eight Vicay knives. Not because I like the brand, but because they are the best looking wood-handled knives I've found with 8Cr13MoV steel. I have this longer straight blade, a partially-serrated blade (for rope and boat safety), and a shorter straight blade to keep on the desk. With a bit of oil finish on the handles, these are all beautiful. The total is eight because I've purchased six of the partially-serrated model so I have backups when they get lost or broken. My friends with Benchmade knives tease my about my cheap blades, but I don't ant the knives my friends have at any price. The Vickay's are exactly what I've been looking for for years.

Perfect In Every Way Except For One Thing
The media could not be loaded. I love this knife and believe it's a great value for the price, but it has one flaw that may or may not, matter to you. It is designed to be a flipper, and as such, it should flip open effortlessly when the flipper is pulled on. Instead, there is friction requiring the thumb post be used to complete the opening. I found this very surprising, since the product page advertises a caged steal ball bearing. Perhaps, I got unlucky with a defective one; it can happen with the best of products.Aside from that, this is a stellar knife with a thick quality stainless steel blade. It is a pleasing shape, and came respectably sharp. The rosewood handle is gorgeous, smooth, perfectly ergonomic, and beautifully finished. The blade is firmly rooted to the handle with zero free play in any direction when locked open. There is zero side to side weakness or rickety motion. Liner lock is very secure, and sticks out enough for easy access to unlock. When closed, the blade tip is perfectly centered in its cradle. Pocket clip is tight and perfectly positioned to avoid interfering with the grip. I really struggled not to give this knife five stars despite the one flaw, since the price is so low, currently below $13. It's still a solid value. But alas, it wouldn't be fair to those who depend on my reviews not to point that out. Without that flaw, the knife would be worth more than double the price, maybe triple.

Decent quality, blade sharpens well. Poor handle material.
This is a decent knife, but it’s the kind you throw in your tackle box and don’t care what happens to it. The blade will stay sharp with use which is really all you need. It’s not a smooth opening knife, the handle material is poorly finished (mine has uneven coloring and shine) and doesn’t beg you you to keep it in your hand. If you just need something simple this may work for you, but there are nicer knives at this price point.

Great bargain knife...
Wow, for just under $13, this is an excellent bargain knife. It came dull - very dull. If you don't have a sharpener, you will need one. I was able to get it to an acceptable sharpness pretty quickly and easily. It's now actually able to cut things as it should be able to. The knife is a good looking knife too. I'm old school and like to see wooden scales on knives. These are a little slippery, but the shape of the knife helps in getting a good enough grip. It is a flipper and it has a thumb stub. Out of the box, mine wasn't flipping very good. I needed to add a little oil to get it better. I also thing it would get better over time with more use. About the only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the clip - it's not a deep carry at all - far from it The 3 allen nuts that fasten it to the scales are about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch from the top. Then, there's another 1/3 of a inch before the clip bows out. The good thing is that this knife is small enough and light enough to not be clipped on your pants - it can be kept in your pocket with ease. Overall, for the price, this is an excellent knife.

Nice little pocket knife.
For the price this is a nice little flipper. Using a 8Cr13MoV stainless is pretty normal for these price point knives and it did come razor sharp out of the package. But after some use you will find the edge get dull pretty fast and if you don't know how to sharpen knives you will soon find what was a nice knife sitting at the bottom of you drawer. The build quality of the knife has it hits and its misses. As noted, my blade came super sharp but the flipper action was was almost at a zero. Once I adjusted everything it flips like a dream but I can see it needs more and more attention as time goes on. The rosewood handles are a nice touch to the feel of the knife but again fall just a little short. With a little sandpaper and some new stain they could have a much better feel. As for the belt clip... I just took it off. It rides very high on the pocket and for me got snagged on everything. With a little work this knife can be a very good pocket carry.
