Grimm's Giant Marbles - Set of Wooden Balls in a Rainbow of Colors

Grimms was a fantastic discovery a few years ago and our collection is ever growing. We already have the pastel giant marbles that we use mainly with a rainbow. So these are a stocking filler to go with for Christmas.

I'm quite disappointed with the quality of this toy. I gave it a quick wipe with plain water before giving it to my child and noticed that the paint started to come off (so much so that you can see the original wood surface). You would expect that by paying more, the quality of the toy would be of a superior standard. I had also purchased Grimm's Large Wooden Triangular Conical Tower and no paint came off when I gave that a wipe....

I bought these to use with the Hape 'pound and tap xylophone bench' (pictured). They aren't exactly cheap - indeed I almost could have bought the whole toy again for the same price! Although some of the balls are slightly bigger than others, they are all the right size to use with this toy, so overall I'm happy with our purchase. Just to note as they have a matt finish they're not quite a perfect replacement for the original glossy wooden balls (middle red ball in the photo) should you be wanting them for the same reason, but they're good enough for us!

Eggs....balls...boulders...My daughter loves to incorperate these into her plah with animals and dinosaurs.

Love Grimms toys. I purchased these for my 9 month and she loves looking at them and picking which ones she wants to roll. As with all Grimms toys they are lovely quality.

Bought the set of wooden balls as replacements for different toys - not cheap but does mean we now have some toys back in use again.
