I love it when something cheap 'just fixes' a problem.
Everything IR I own, apart from my TV, lives in a cupboard.I'd previously massively over-engineered a solution with a Harmony remote which would spit IR, but also communicate with radio to a IR-spitting device I could put in my cupboard. It worked. Then it broke. Replacement £270. Not a chance. For £4 (including postage) my wife is no longer trying to aim the Tivo remote off the ceiling, bounce it through an open cupboard door and hit the box.USB power socket is now in back of tivo, IR transmitter (the little one) is stuck to floor of cupboard infront of devices, IR receiver (larger device in middle of the chain) is pulled out the back and stuck to the side of the cupboard. It just 'works'.Only quibble is the glowing LED on the receiver. Can't think why there needs to be one (I may attack it this weekend) - but for £4..

No instructions but easy to set up.
Arrived a day earlier than expected and was was well packaged in a box. However, there was nothing printed on the box at all and neither was there an instruction sheet. However, working with the product page on Amazon I was easily able to set the item up in less than a minute and it works perfectly. My Tv's sensor is behind a sound bar but with this item I am once again able to use my remote as if the soundbar was not there. Great product, great price, flawless performance.

Perfect for controlling SkyQ boxes in remote places
I work mainly installing Av systems and Wall mounting TV's. Recently a lot of my customers are moving from SkyHD to SkyQ and are losing the 'magic eye' functionality. Where boxes are in Cupboards a long way from the screen I now cut the emitter part from one of the devices and attach to a spare cable pair from a cat5. Have tested up to around 50 metres and works well. This will also work well if you wish to hide a SkyQ mini box behind a wall mounted Tv A really cheap solution for this problem.

What a great find!
I had a new cabinet which contained my sound system and I didn't want to leave the flap down with ugly wires exposed just to use the sound system. This solved the issue nicely! Now the cabinet is closed and I am able to control my device nicely.I was expecting a lot of faffing, moving around the transmitter etc. to get it to work. But not at all.I have lazily affixed both ends with the sticky pads provided, and all is good.It does require USB power. For me this was fine, I have a wall plug that has USB sockets. You can buy these on Amazon - it can act as a pass through so that a normal device can be plugged in and you have USB power. The receiver does have a bright red light, which may be a problem for some and these things normally bother me. I'm not sure if it's required for function. However I managed to position it so that the remote can reach it, but it's not in my line of sight - so as long as you're smart about it, it's not an issue. What a great benefit for such a great cost. I love this product.

Outstanding Value
This is very good for the price I brought one to try it before buying more as have multiple devices in a cupboard including xbox one console but stuck the receiver on the outside pretty hidden, and the transmitter in in the middle of the door and it works with everything so no for more Very Impressed.

Worth noting
Looks better than some, the buts are it only works placed with the domed top facing towards the remote signal, which takes away all it's "Elegance" looks like a small mouse, I was assuming it would have the wire to the rear so showing the smallest profile and the wire hidden behind, as would be expected on a shelf or any flat cabinet surface.Secondly the double sided tape did not hold it on a vertical surface ( I cleaned with Meths) and taped in place to allow it time to cure, I replaced the pad with some double sided tape I had, this stuck to the surface fine, but came off the sensor, tried again, same thing. Brought some gorilla tape, this did the same, in all cases it could last days then give up, it's like the sensor has a Teflon coating. Am away at present I used evo stick before leaving I'll see on my return. As it does not work in any other position it's no good, when stuck it works perfectly.

Does what is says and is "elegant" too!
Wasn't expecting much to be honest, but this item really does a great job. Easy to fit and perfect length wires which are easy to hide, it has made a big difference to using our Humax box. My Humax has a fairly narrow IR window and my box is away to the side of my TV on a separate desk but we can now point the remote at the tv and this relays the signal to the Humax.

A really good buy. Like other reviewers the sensor on my Sony TV was hidden by the arm of a chair. I had to stand up to use the remote successfully.Following the instructions and reviewers tips. I placed the small sensor beneath the tv sensor and the large "blob" inline with my tv remote control. Everything is ok.now. great.
