The ink is a darker black and more fully covers than the standard Refill ink. The refill ink comes in a 3 pack, instructions on how to reink it are in one of the secondary images for this product. You cut off the tip of the refill bottle with scissors, and then you insert it into the hole on the side of the stamp. Only one side of the stamp has a hole. You use the entire refill capsule for one refill. You wait 2 to 3 minutes and resume stamping.
