All three settings feel great, but this isn't enough to recommend this product
This shower head set arrived in perfect condition with all pieces intact, and as described. although for a luxury item the packaging was surprisingly pedestrian. The shipping time was longer than others, and currently the shipping time showing here on the product's site is "1 to 2 months".It's very handsome, with a brushed nickel look throughout, including the tube, which I've usually seen as a silvery ribbed item and not showing the same surface as the head and mount. The nozzles are housed in a black plastic (?) disc in the shower head. There is a single button on the handle just below the shower head, which switches between the 3 types of water flow. Each of the 3 types of flow are great in their own way, and do a lot with the limited 1.75 gpm flow rate. One is a soft mist kind of flow, the other a limp but wide-ranging drizzle, and the third a more focused powerful flow, which is the setting I have been using the most. This shower head replaced another one that had a list price of about 1/6 of the price of this one. And, to be honest, I'm not sure what the exorbitant price is providing for me. hansgrohe apparently has a reputation for having higher end products, but, at least in the short term, I'm not seeing what the appeal is.Although the hose LOOKS good, it's more rigid than you'd want. We have a shower caddy on the top that you either a) can't use with this showerhead, or b) you have to accept the showerhead will be pointing directly at the far wall, it won't tilt down. The handle doesn't snug down into the holder nice and tight. So, because the hose is somewhat unyielding, if it's not positioned just right, the head can rotate and, at least in our case, spray out into the bathroom when you turn it on, before you have a chance to shut the curtain or otherwise react. The button is very responsive... almost TOO responsive. When using it as a handheld, the spot on the handle where I get the best grip means if I'm not paying strict attention, my thumb will bump the button, which immediately changes the flow to a different setting. Seems like it would be good for there to be a little ridge on it where your thumb can rest.Beyond that, the button should absolutely have a 4th option for 'pause', allowing the flow to stop or be greatly reduced, as some other shower heads have. I live in a drought-prone area, and you want to find as many ways as you can to reduce water use. A low-flow head is good, but so is turning the water off while soaping up, or whatever. For a high-end product, it's unfortunate the manufacturers didn't include this option. If this product was 1/6 of the price, I would be a lot more tolerant of most all of these mostly minor flaws, but I would probably still shop around until I found a model that had that 'pause' option. The luxurious comfort of the water flow options isn't nearly enough to make up for all that.3 stars at Amazon is seen by many as "negative", but the official headline they use is "It's just okay", and that's kind of how I feel about this shower head.

Very nice to use, but expensive and poor instructions
This hand-held shower attachment replaces a generic one that cost perhaps a 7th of the price. Is this unit better? Yes, a lot. The old one worked fine but this one is easier to use and the water streams that come from it are more comfortable and effective. Is this unit worth the price? Maybe. A shower is something we both use every day. So, it might well be worth paying extra for something you are really using all the time. It's not clear that this unit will last longer than its generic predecessor, but think of the cost as spread over years of use and it's not so substantial. This unit has three settings, and you can change between them with a button conveniently located on the head. One setting is a nice, gentle rain. The second setting concentrates this flow in a central region of the head and intensifies it slightly. The third setting is entirely concentrated in the center and is quite strong. You might want to use this third setting as a bidet function. That's about all I need. My old unit had more options, but I only used one. I enjoy using this shower head.I have the chrome version. The hose is smooth and looks neat. It's a good looking unit--though I don't typically show off my bathroom. What I didn't enjoy was installation. It turned out to be easy, though the instructions made it more complicated. The unit is a standard size and attaches easily to a standard shower fixture once you remove the head. The instructions consist of 2 pictures. One of them indicates that you'll need an 11mm wrench and that you shouldn't use a pliers, but it doesn't indicate what you need it for or where you put it. I was thinking I would have to open up a ring and was looking for large wrench to fit around it. Nope. 11mm is about 2/3 of an inch. The wrench is to adjust the angle of the head and you can do that easily with a medium sized crescent wrench. A pliers is likely to scratch the surface. I used some plumber's tape around the threads to prevent water leakage, though that might not have been necessary. What should have been 10-15 min to install ended up taking 40 min because I was looking for tools I didn't need. Instructions could be clearer, but you'll figure them out. There a picture

Beatiful looks and function...
The media could not be loaded. An elegant handheld shower head from hansgrohe, this is an expensive bathroom fixture that will likely give satisfaction for years of use. hansgrohe is a German designer and manufacturer of kitchen and bathroom fixtures whose design and manufacturoing quality stand at the top end of the fixture spectrum. hansgrohe is owned by the American building products conglomerate, Masco Corporation, joining Masco-owned fixture manufacturers including Peerless, Delta and Brizo. Warranty on hansgrohe is for the lifetime of the original owner, and hansgrohe's customer service is on a par with Delta's excellent customer service. This is a beautiful shower head. The finish is silky smooth and elegant. The handle and head are solid metal. The spray nozzles are easily-cleaned silicone. Three spray patterns can be chosen between by the press of a button on the handle. Design and function are smoothly precise. Spray patterns are wide, slightly narrower and more intense, and a very focused and intense stream.Included with this shower head is a hose that has a unique finish. The hose is plastic, but finished to the same brushed nickel look as the metal parts of the set. Also included is a brushed nickel metal bracket that includes the supply for the hose and holds the handshower head.OK. If you can afford this, it's a classic fixture. It's expensive, but this is a beautiful handshower set.
