When you get into it, you won't want to get out of it.
First of all, the comfort can get a bit straining in the face area during use, however that is quickly forgotten over time when using the headset. I picked up this piece of kit for £399 second hand, even as a second hand product it feels brand new.The tracking is 1:1, you won't notice slow downs, you will transitions your movements instantly in vr as you do in real life. As a previous user of the DK1 Rift I expected a little more however, the screen door effect of the headset is a little disappointing, as someone who subconsciously looks for flaws in games. It's instantly noticeable to me however that is all pushed aside when you immerse yourself and let loose.Being able to interact with in-game items is just another world experience, from playing Minecraft Vivecraft mod, to even lifting mugs in Skyrim, it truly adds more value to your experiences, even if they are meaningless trivial things such as neatly organising a shelf in your Skyrim home.My main complaints from a piece of kit like this would be with the field of view, the dark edges around your eyes can become noticeable very easily, infact you'll always see them, the screen door effect can make the beauty in games harder to shine through with the black grid of pixels shown in the way.But once again this is still easily a very good for value headset as it gives you everything to get going, the controller's, the base stations and the headset all for cheaper than a console, make this a easy purchase for me.

Gamechanging technology
Absolutely blown away by the depth this adds to games and even apps like google earth. Can't spend enough time on it. Was relatively easy to setup with a few drill holes, and not had any motion sickness at all with it. The Oasis is here :)

It's fun!
Feels great, would have loved the headphone straps bundled with it that got a 4 star. You'll need to get the tripods separately.

Forgotten what real reality is like.
If you want the best, buy this. If you don't want the best, buy any of the others.NB. The Pro doesn't really give you much noticeable difference other than wire free.

Vive is the best headset available now..hopefully more competition this year
Of the VR headsets I have tried, this is the best experience available right now and has been the best one since day one (April '16) in terms of feeling of immersion and sheer completeness of experience. That's not to say it's perfect because it's not. As a first generation headset of course it will have a few minor issues, but as a trailblazer of the re-invented technology, it achieves enough to convince you that VR is finally here. The next headsets can only build on this generation's incredible beginnings. So, the product is easy to set up, and provided you have a spare room for gaming, or don't mind moving a coffee table out of the way, then the room scale is simple to set up. You can attach base stations in a more permanent way with screws (everything in the box) or use pole stands or clip onto shelves or attach to other handy high points in the room. 2m or above is good for the area, and a maximum of 5m diagonal which provides a great clear area to literally walk around in, in your living room in another universe. wherever you want.screen quality is good if you adjust the set perfectly to your eyes. There is a way to learn how to adjust for the clearest view and then you remember the settings. it is comfortable to wear for 30 min periods or more it does not strain the eyes although i'd suggest using common sense, how long would you stare at a TV screen? (the answer might be ages if you like TWD or Breaking Bad haha)Anyway, games like Job Simulator give you a great sense of what types of fun you can have (any) (kids love JS) (to be honest most adults would too if they like tech) and Vive has surely the largest library of VR games. A lot of free and demo content, which is good and to be expected (developers are relatively new to VR after all) some of which is low quality, but there are brilliant experiences in The Lab (free) Brookhaven Experiment, Elite dangerous, Raw Data, and more coming all the time. With PSVR out and doing quite well as far as can be gathered, releasing some big titles such as new Resident Evil, Drive Club etc then the ball is rolling for more big content from all sides. The controllers are a joy to use, and tracking is very apparent to see, and so close to 1:1 that you should be impressed by the lack of latency, spinning a controller in real life in front of your face and seeing the representation of that in the VR world in front of your eyes is like the holy grail of immersion and believability. The brain need to be convinced and it is with the Vive. Transform the controller into a bow and arrow or a couple of handguns and then the fun begins. The Vive is the perfect introduction to VR a tad expensive maybe but hey, it is the best commercial headset that can take you into the solar system (one of the 'levels' in The Lab, which is truly impressive). Can't wait for bigger games and more content, but what a start for HTC and Valve. 5/5
