Best strings I've ever used!
I've been playing guitar for only four years although I've progressed in skill very quickly, and these strings made a MASSIVE difference in my sound quality. I thought that I needed a really expensive guitar in order to get great sound, and, although that's true to an extent, strings are just as important if not more important. I was using the D'addario Phosphor Bronze Custom Light (two levels smaller than medium gauge) because of recommendations from friends, and they just dulled so quickly and got covered in dead skin. The strings also weren't very easy to maneuver on with slides and chord changes.I was pretty frustrated with D'addario, and I switched to Dean Markley Alchemy GoldBronze Medium Gauge strings, and they were definitely better than my previous strings I mentioned as using. I tried these strings because I had heard that Andy McKee uses them, but then I found out that he had switched to these strings, the EXPs, and I was skeptical at trying them at first because of my prior experience with D'addario and the fact that the Dean Markleys I was using at the time were better than my old D'addarios. However, I figured that, if Andy switched from the DMs to the EXPs, then I would follow suit. Andy McKee personally told me on his facebook that the EXPs were better in his opinion, so I took the plunge, and I don't regret it one bit. These strings are absolutely amazing. Their sound quality is amazing, full, balanced, and long-lasting. I can maneuver much more easily on these strings. I'm just so pleased with them, and I don't see myself switching any time soon unless I somehow find better strings. Hopefully I will, but I think these will be my strings of choice for now.

Favorite acoustic guitar strings!
I love these strings!! I used to play .13s on my Martin. Since I play electric guitar on a regular basis, I wanted strings that didn't sound too thin if I went with a smaller gauge. These .10 strings are bright and full and coated. Love it! Now I can play electric guitar and then grab my acoustic and keep the same playing style. I used Martin medium bronze coated for the last 15 years. These are way better and are now my new standard!Don't forget to set up your guitar for a lighter gauge. I think .10s sound better with a Solid Top Spruce with Rosewood back and sides. Rosewood is a warmer wood tone so these strings match up very well. I also put these on my Solid Spruce Top with Mahogany back and sides and it was slightly too tinny for my taste. It wasn't the D'Addario coated brand, it was the size. Next time, I'll go .11 or .12, same brand name and style!Get these strings, they are way better than Elixirs (poly or nano) by far! They sound better and last longer. Don't forget to wipe your guitar strings down after you play. Strings will last longer!

These strings are sick! I think I'm in love with them!
I've always used Martin strings on all my acoustic guitars, but when I took one of my guitars in for a set up and neck adjustment, they replaced my strings with these. That same day, I bought a new Takamine G72 on which these strings are standard. I can't believe I've been playing guitar for over 40 years and I've never used these strings until now. They're incredible! I feel like I won't use anything but these on all my acoustics. I've been using Martin silk and steel strings on my 12-string for over 30 years, and when I change them next, I'll use the appropriate D'Addario strings. They sound so good and hold their tune well. They feel good too. The response from them is insane!I bought these from Amazon because they have a good price for them and I wanted an extra set to put in my Takamine case. Once I start playing again more regularly, I'll probably go for Amazon's subscription service for these. I highly recommend these strings.

Solid Strings, Great Sound, Long Lasting
These are solid strings for acoustic guitar. They have a great sound and I prefer the Phosphor Bronze over the 80/20 strings. I've been a fan of D'Addario company for awhile now. I used to play strictly D'Addario strings when I started playing guitar, then I tried every string company I could find including some small companies that let you choose custom sizes and sets where every string is hand wound. Every time, I come back to D'Addario because they make just excellent products. I will say, however, that for acoustic guitars, it is a very close race between D'Addario Coated Phosphor Bronze and Elixir Nanowebs. They are both excellent strings BUT I think I prefer Elixir a little more. All that being said, I used these strings to fix up my Father In Law's guitar. Needed a new saddle, bridge pins, and a few other things. I used these strings once I got it pieced back together and the guitar sounded fantastic! It's been a few months since then and the strings are still in good shape, and they still give off a great tone.
