Madame Loulou Rolled Fondant 2.5lb Creativity Packs, Professional Quality, 8 Colors (Cool Vibes Pack)

I needed to create a rainbow for the top of a birthday cake. I didn't relish the idea of making and coloring fondant so I decided to speed up the process and purchased multi-colored pack. When I got the package I was happily surprised to see the colors were even more vibrant than the photos on Amazon. The colors were wonderful! As I began rolling out the fondant, I thought it would be fun, instead of making a normal rainbow, to make a braid like one would do for bread. So I made a 6-strand braid with the fondant. Most of the colors rolled and braided just fine. A few kept want to break as I braided them. I added a bit of oil and this helped smooth things out and I was able to complete the braid. It's not perfect because it was my first time ever braiding fondant. But that's not the fondant's fault, that's my lack of skill. Oh, and I forgot to mention, this fondant is DELICIOUS. My son wouldn't stop sneaking pieces. I had to hide it away so I could make the rainbow. And I'm not going to lie, I kept sneaking pieces as well. It was surprisingly tasty.I will never make fondant again - I'm just going to use this brand in the future. It's excellent!

This is a good way to sample several colors of this brand before further committing. The fondant was soft, pliable and easily molded in silicone molds. Used the red color, which retained its vibrancy overnight on cake. The taste was pleasant and marshmallow-like. The fondant dried quickly, providing a firm but not hard decoration. It had a smooth appearance when molded, although it has a slightly grainy, but good, texture when chewed. Have not used as a cake covering as yet, so cannot comment on rollability. Have not used other colors as yet.

I ordered this product based on the excellent reviews. Ordered this in at the end of January this year for an order I knew I would need it for on May 11. I attempted to use the fondant this evening and it was not good. The green fondant was so dry it immediately crumbled. I tried to knead in some shortening but it did not help. It continued to fall apart. I looked at the other packages and noticed what appears to be oil or some type of moisture in the yellow, royal green, and blue packages. I think I got a bad batch of this fondant but the expiration date is 12/26/20. I should have opened the individual packets of the fondant as soon as it arrived to make sure it was of good qualityNow it is too late to return the product. The fondant looked fine when I opened the shipping box to verify the colors and I have kept the fondant in the original box, away from sunlight since it arrived. I am very disappointed. I had high hopes for this brand.

very cute colors. Bought as a gift for my friend and she will love this! only downside is that it came frozen so I am not sure how it will turn out

I purchased 2 brands of fondant for the colors I needed. This brand was by far superior to the other. The fondant was soft and easy to roll and place on the cake.This was only my 2nd time using fondant, but it easy to use. I had no cracking whatsoever.

I was trying to save a little time by not having to add coloring the my own white fondant when I purchased this, but it would have been worth the effort to make and color it myself. The only thing this product had going for it was the bright colors. The texture was grainy and even when worked and warmed it was extremely difficult to roll. One of the packages looked partially open and was hard as a rock. The price is decent, but I guess you get what you pay for.

I was unhappy with this fondant. The directions said to warm it up in microwave to soften it up a bit but that didn’t make a difference. I was using this to create a ruffle effect which requires very thin pieces of fondant and this was not at all capable of the proper consistency to get the desired effect. I’ve worked with many other brands before and never had this type of issue. Was very disappointed as my cake did not come out the way I’d hoped for.

Great flavor, soft and easy to work with. Colors matched what I ordered. This was the first time I'd ever used fondant.
