The Shrew that Flew (A Harry & Lil Story)

A lovely book in the Harry and Lil series portraying the friendship between a shrew called Candy-stripe Lil and Harry the Hog. A story about perseverance presented in charming rhyme, it will enthrall children aged about 2-5.

This is the third in the 'Harry and Lil' series and it is as beautiful and charming as the previous two. The illustrations are beautiful, and the story is utterly charming and captivating. My kids (2,7&9) all love it, and so do we. I don't often write reviews for this sort of thing, but the 'Harry and Lil' series have become classics on our bookshelves, sitting happily next to other favourites such as 'The Tiger who came to Tea' and Janet and Allan Ahlberg's 'Peepo'.

Fine kids book - my 5 year old likes this series.

I just LOVE the Harry & Lil books! I was so excited to get the next in the series, and it lives up to exceptions in every way. A fabulous story with brilliant rhymes, beautiful illustrations that my kids just love to study for hours, spotting all the little details, and as always, a great feel-good ending. Never say never!
