I didn't know how detailed the Routing Table was, until I picked up this book.It simply outlines what happens in a router specific to each Routing Protocol and the common attributes between each (general Routing).A Must Have for CCIE Studies and those in the Service Provider Environments.

It`s a Cisco IP routing fundamental book!

Brilliant Book! This is not a "big picture" overview on routing. To the contrary - it is very detailed to the point of explain the actual pseudo-code of the routines used by the routing protocols. I have the feeling that most information has been taken from RFCs but with the added bonus of having diagrams and examples included.This book really answers the "Why?" questions, answers which are very difficult to find online.Beware though, it is not an easy read - and it's not suppose to be!
