Great Gameplay, Graphics, Endgame Content Still in Question
This is a great game - the gameplay and mechanics are excellent. Keep in mind the level (and weapon) restrictions till you get the expansions. I use this on a GTX 1060 with a 1080p monitor and have no issues with framerate. I bought this more for PvP (player versus player), and while I enjoy it this game is really geared more toward the PvE (player versus environment) players. The crucible gets tiring, matchmaking doesn't work all that well. However, with all the side activities, it's still a pretty fun game. I'm glad this one came out for the PC. It's a little grindy toward the end - join a clan and complete activities and it's much more fun.

If I could return it - I would
Worst game I have purchased so far this year. The story campaign is EXTREMELY short, extremely linear and not that well-written (you have a single token "bad guy" named "Gary" or something, you shoot him until he dies at the very last part, the end) and after campaign ends - you're basically left with repeating same (very few) public events/strikes/raid over and over, for a very gradual increase in "power level". Oh, and there were some side quests after the end of campaign, but I don't even remember what they were about - all I remember is running through the same exact areas and killing same exact enemies as I did during the campaign. The "social" features are also a joke - no proper local/global/clan text chat or proximity voice chat (only a few emote animations as a primary mean of communicating with other players), same goes for a joke PvP system which is only available in 4v4 mode. As it is the game is extremely mediocre in all regards and worth a maximum of $25 and absolutely not worth the "full retail" price, even with Prime discount applied to it. And that's not only my opinion - you can see plenty of similar ones, here or at other places which allow customer reviews, as well as streaming sites like Twitch (where this game has already fallen below games like "Warframe" in terms of amount of streamers and viewers).

If you play this on PC the graphics are amazing and would be my recommended format to play on
If you are a Destiny fan you already own this and my review will likely have no impact. This game is different than Destiny 1 for all the wrong reasons. If you play this on PC the graphics are amazing and would be my recommended format to play on. Destiny 1 had no real story. Destiny 2 does, but it is poorly executed, unimaginative, and frankly, boring. Multiplayer is fun, and similar to Destiny 1. If you are on the fence, play the free trial and then decide.

If you liked Destiny 1
The pro: If you liked Destiny 1, the gameplay is pretty much the same, so you'll probably enjoy this. This is the reason for all 3 stars. The cons:-Feels like an expansion for Destiny 1, without any of the old zones. There is no innovation that significantly improves gameplay (the contrary is more common).-A lot more emphasis on persistent grinding and microtransactions if you want to customize your character.-The worst technical issues from Destiny 1 are still present in Destiny 2. Apparently the software developers are unable or unwilling to design a game that won't kick you out of your activities and lose your mission progress on a regular basis.-Despite being released much later than the console version, the first paid DLC is on the same schedule, so there was very little time between that launch and being expected to buy additional content. In Summary: The draw of continuing to play Destiny is the only thing this game offers. For every minor improvement, the developers have made specific aspects of the game worse in order to artificially extend time played, and push real money transactions. Overall very disappointing.

The game is great. I already purchased the XBOX version and now PC. The only issue is this BS game code that came with a paper looking disk. I don't care what Amazon's excuse is. They can claim they had no idea but to waste my and every other persons time by having an option to buy the box/disk and in the end it's just a paper disk with a code. I will never buy another game from Amazon because you should have told your buyers the truth Bezos!

Avoid until Activision/Bungie come to their senses
The subscription posing as DLC approach that Activision/Bungie are engaging in is unacceptable. Apparently this is how it worked on consoles for Destin1, and I feel sorry for parents especially that kept feeding the publisher money. Unfortunately for Activision, PC gamers have different expectations and called them out on these practices. The paywalls were removed from the first DLC, Curse of Osiris, however there is very little content (certainly not $20 worth). Bungie continues to apologize, and everyone, including those that purchased the DLC, feel a bit cheated.I make that lengthy intro, because despite this being a gorgeous game with a light, yet interesting, storyline, and refined (if easy) gameplay, the game feels unfinished. It is unfinished. Also, the DLC's are by no means optional. If you want to continue to play, you will need to buy the DLC's. A fun game, hampered by poor business practices.
