unable to determine specific waist circumference. am 6 ft, 195 lbs., 44 chest and 38 waist. The size large jacket fits me perfectly; sleeves, chest, waist with room to spare. Sounds like a medium might be better for you.

This jacket is on the lighter side of leather jackets, also it runs large in the sleeves. I tried to exchange it for one size smaller, however the price to do that was more than double. I opted for a Tommy Hilfiger jacket instead. It's slighlty more casual but has wonderful lining if your looking for a warmer coat. Also, the price was better. My husband loves it. Style #152A3729
