Robust and stiff
Bought these to remove some square manholes. Was concerned whether they would be strong enough but clearly are robust and stiff. Did the lifting I needed so happy with the product. About the same price as Screwfix so cant really comment on the value. These will last my lifetime :)

Good quality
Very strong, good quality. I had to try this on the heaviest manhole cover ever. This pair is a little beast.

Simple but effective but order a pair.
This lifting key is supplied loose inside standard Amazon packaging. It is made from heavy duty steel and should not bend in normal use. It has a zinc coating to resist rust. This is a review of the single item, but it is also available as a pair.Ordering a pair is much more versatile and safer as well so I would recommend this option as it is only a small premium. It works well and should be able to open most covers.

Important note: despite the pic showing two keys, this is in fact just one key as per the description. This is misleading and disappointing. One key on its own is far less use than two, a pair being what you really need to get the job done. The one key itself is a good shape and quality, and can just about be used by itself with difficulty. As I say, the pic is very misleading and selling just one key is a bit daft when they really only work in pairs.

It works but can be a little problematic to use
It's a very basic tool, they problem is that the twist is a little too long when inserted into the hole to lift up.Usually you'd have the holder going like a PLUS sign rather than an L shape where you insert in, twist and pull, with this one it's hard to twist 90 degrees to pull, unless there is a big cavity on the manhole.It's ok, nice to have but don't know if this something I cannot live without, I usually work in many places where I need to life these covers all the time, I guess if they came as 2 in a pack then it would be a better value for money or at least more useful.Thank you for your time reading my review.
