Northwest Yellowstone Woven Jacquard Throw Blanket, 46" x 60", Train Station

First of all, I really like this blanket, as it looked great right out of the packaging and machine washed & machine dried well enough, but here’s a tip - - WASH THIS BLANKET RIGHT AFTER TAKING IT OUT OF ITS PLASTIC PACKAGING! Maybe it’s just my sensitive nose and mouth, but that factory dust, debris blanket smell will surprise you…unless you’re used to that stuff…unlike me I guess.Pros:- Nice design- Nice quality- Made in USA- Washer/dryer friendly (at least the tag says so)- Nice ‘n light…somewhat portable even- Looks like it was made just for hanging on our couches.- Just enough material is added to the thickness of the blanket to be considered warmer than without the blanket.Cons:- Somewhat expensive for just an acrylic blanket, as I see others for nearly half price or so- Not nearly as warm as I had hoped for- A couple loose threads were falling out of the blanket after using drying machine on gentle, per instructions. I put it in too long and did a second drying to get more fuzz out since it s a new blanket. That’s probably what did it. Careful about those dryers.- Perhaps due its acrylic material, be careful about opening this baby up from its plastic packaging and getting a whiff of this stuff in your mouth and nostrils before giving it a heart wash and dry. That new blanket smell stayed in my nose and mouth for an hour or two. Fair warning.I’ll be honest when I say that I wasn’t looking specifically for Yellowstone branded blankets. I searched for “blankets made in USA” and these eventually popped up down the list after many that were in the $200-250 range.I’ll also be honest in the fact that I was tired of looking at the Made in China label on various blankets we had around the house bought from Target years ago, since it started to be quite cold in SoCal recently. 40° F is plenty cold for here, trust me…. Oddly, we also have a Gene Autry Museum (Los Angeles, CA) blanket cowboy type throw blanket from year 2000 or so, but the tag doesn’t say where it was made. This Yellowstone blanket fits well with that theme hah. Thus, I thought it would be neat to get a blanket made in good ol’ USA.I noticed the decorative fringes around the edges aren’t all the same color as the product photo suggests. Item is supposed to be red, light blue, and white all around. Yet, there’s gold, black, and white-colored decorative fringes on opposing sides of the blanket. I thought about an exchange, but I think it makes it look more unique this way. It looks great both ways!Verdict: I LIKE IT!I wish local stores such as Target, Macy’s or even Costco would have more made in USA stuff…but maybe that’s asking too much.Sure, I wish the blanket was a bit thicker, but I’m still happy with the blanket regardless since it is good as a lighter blanket…indoors at least! Have yet to test it outdoors in any weather. It also looks great anywhere in the house. That’s a plus too.Thanks Northwest.

Good size for bedroom

Bought for my mom, who is a die hard “Yellowstone” fan. Perfect Christmas present as they live up north and it’s always chilly. She keeps draped across the back of the couch all year. Quality great, image great, warmth great.

I gave this to my mom for Christmas and she loves it. Super soft and big enough for her and he dogs to share on the couch

You'd think that after 42 years I would be able to make my father happy with a gift more often than not, but you'd be surprised. I'm giving this blanket 4 stars, because even though Dad was seemingly in a good mood and said he liked the blanket that referenced his favorite show, he quickly decided that the blanket was destined to live in the truck, you know, for emergencies and really cold days. Knowing my father, I can see that his review would have garnered 3 stars at best, but Dad isn't known for rounding up. The blanket is very well made, is cuddly-soft, and has a nice weight to it. It's just right for one blanket hog and a furry friend (or more!) or a couple who's still in the honeymoon phase. And it would actually be nice on a road trip as well.

I thought this would be navy blue. It’s royal blue. A bit disappointing that it won’t coordinate like I hoped
