Wayne's World 2

I'd somehow forgotten over the years how many random cameos and guest stars this movie had. Christopher Walken, Steven Tyler, Drew Barrymore, and so many more - excellent!I can just imagine Mike Myers doing the plot pitch: Wayne has a vision with Jim Morrison and a mainly naked Indian that he needs to put on Waynestock. It's ok if we can't get Jim Morrison, an actor playing him is cool. Aerosmith must be included. (Also, pretty sure "mainly naked Indian" and some other things in this classic wouldn't fly in today's more tender times.)Dana Carvey is his wonderful, sadly underrated self as Wayne's best friend, now with pubes! (Shhhh, don't tell.) The movie is silly, mindless fun with parodies of other movies randomly scattered throughout. This include Jurassic Park, which I totally forgot was in here and delighted me to no end.

What is it about us males that keeps us from completely maturing? We never stop enjoying the Three Stooges; sex jokes; passing gas; and the wonderful gags featured in Wayne's World. Jeff Daniels once said that Dumb And Dumber was designed for 15-year-old boys. This movie is close. Wayne and Garth are recently moved into their own homes, still recently out of high school, rubbernecking whenever hotties walk by, maintaining the kind of intensely close friendship that you see among teen-age guys. However, it's time to grow up. Wayne gets this from Jim Morrison while Garth's messenger is Kim Basinger. Like the original, this terrific sequel keeps the clever laughs coming in a variety of ways: parodies of famous movies, cameo appearances by stars that will surprise you, hilarious dialogue, even looks back at our pop culture. There's a tribute to 70s Chinese martial arts movies that should have you roaring. That two mature men (well, physically anyway, remember?) like Myers and Carvey can very believably come off as kids just out of high school is impressive, and that this sequel can come so close to duplicating the quality of the original is equally so. Enjoy it--unless you've decided to grow up...

I wish they had done a box set of both movies, but I'll take this on BluRay and make my own! Party on!

it was funny but it wasnt like the first movie

This is one of my most favorite movies ever!!! Wayne's World 2 was one of my favorite movies growing up in the 90's. I bought this movie in the 90's as a VHS tape. In the 2000's, I rebought this movie in dvd format. I was very excited to see this movie be reformatted as a blu-ray. It is a very good quality movie. No scratches or defects. Awesome picture and clarity on the screen. I would definitely recommend this blu-ray to all of you Wayne's World fans!

Very underrated comedy from the 90's! One of my favorites actually. Also, it includes the song "Idiot Summer" by Gin Blossoms and also shows them arriving at Waynestock when the credits start rolling. Wow what a flashback! Never realized until now that my favorite band of the 90's was in one of my favorite movies. Having the internet now rocks! lol

If you are a fan of the first film and the nostalgia lives rent-free in your head, please avoid this film. It is very clearly trying to recapture, in many instances literally, the magic of the first film with consistently re-hashed jokes and gags that, in my opinion, fall flat and far from the reaction they thought it would carry.While I can't imagine how much of a cash-grab they thought the film would be at the time, it's simply not a film of any reasonable quality and that's being charitable to Mike, Dana, and Tia.That all being said, I think the premise of the movie (Waynestock, specifically) could have been wonderfully adapted had it not been for the awkward arranged marriage, the continuity errors regarding Cassandra's record deal, Wayne's incomprehensible jealousy towards Cassandra's success (which must be coming from an affair...), and just generally bad comedy that plagues the film (not without exceptions, of course).I encourage everyone to just revel in the excellent rock n' roll social commentary that is the first film and give Wayne's World 2 a wide berth; it's just not worth it.

Ganz ohne Worte geht's nicht. Der Film ist einfach genial der erste Teil ist zwar besser aber trotzdem einfach nur super.

This item came in the mail in just 4 days after i ordered it. It is a good movie, it is definitely worth buying on blu-ray. Most people only either upgrade from vhs to dvd or from vhs to blu-ray but i enjoyed the wayne's world movies so much that i upgraded them both from dvd to blu-ray. That cassandra is smoking hot and you get to enjoy it even mor eon blu-ray hi def.
