Smaller than expected, and mine came apart after a few uses
Admittedly, it nobody's fault but mine that this item was smaller than I had pictured it. I should have looked into the dimensions. However, the rough material at either side that lifts the pills from my cashmere items keeps coming out of the groove it is supposed to be held in by. The glue has dried up, and I don't know if I can reglue it myself neatly and easily, so I regret buying it. The [other brand] sweater comb that I received long ago as a perk from my dry cleaner is still in good shape after years of use.I bought this sweater comb because I had misplaced my old one, and I liked that it was two-sided, which I thought would aid efficiency. In reality, this one is merely a more expensive version of a simple tool that I already had (I just had to search for it). Shame on me for succumbing to the impulse to consume another of something I already had! This turned out not to be "a better mousetrap".

I used to be "that girl" until I discovered this sweater comb
Six years ago, I was checking out at a store and they were offering "sweater stones" to remove pills for something like $10. At the time, I thought "nah--I'll be fine, and if I ever end up needing one, I can find another one elsewhere."Flash forward to every six months since then. I've cursed the day that I didn't buy the sweater stone. I've never seen a sweater stone sold in stores, and when I've asked people about them, they look at me like I'm crazy. For some reason, I didn't consider the internet until recently when a shirt (brand new) got so bad that I realized that these items must exist on the web! Sure enough, I came across The Laundress Sweater Comb and I'm very happy with this purchase. The sweater comb is sleek--approximately 4L x 2W x .25H (all in inches)--kind of close to the size of a thicker, elongated credit card. The design is attractive, with cedar covering most of the mesh. The product actually works, too. I've used it on four of my shirts and a couple of sweaters where I was becoming "that girl" (you know, the one who won't lift up her arms because underneath it's so pilled?).One thing to note, and the instructions will mention this: this product is not the best for looser, yarn-like fabrics. If you're going on a hot date TONIGHT and the only option you have is your favorite pilled, yarn-like shirt, then what you need to do is test an "inconspicuous" section of the shirt so that you don't show up to your date with the fabric looking "teased." The only thing that should look "teased" is your hair, amirite, ladies? (I kid... do not tease either your shirt or your hair, dear reader.)Finally, though we can't always get what we want, I wish this cute little sweater comb came in a cute little sack or case so that I could travel with it and de-pill things on the road, on the plane, in all the hotels of my life. I travel a lot for work and I also create a whole lotta pills. That's the only flaw I can think of. Otherwise, this is an awesome product. Don't let this be the "sweater stone" that got away six years ago...(Written by Woody's wife; Woody doesn't know why a sweater would need to be combed or, heaven forbid, teased)

Basic, sweater comb
Not sure how long this will last due to how it's made, but so far no complaints. Definitely needs a gentle touch, but does it's job.

Does the Job, but isn't very sturdy
It does the job alright, however the comb section came out after one or three strokes upon first use, and I had to use a hair elastic to keep it in place. Not sure if it is a design flaw or I just got a defective item.

Wirecutter Winner!
Purchased this product based on review from Wirecutter. I was not disappointed, the comb performed well on sweaters that I had relegated to the "recycle" box.

I can't believe I'm writing a review about a sweater comb...but...
So I've had some time on my hands in the last few weeks and thought it was a good time to turn over my wardrobe from Winter to Spring. I've had some ratty looking cashmere sweaters I was thinking of replacing because they pilled so badly, but thought I'd first try some DIY to save some money. This was way more money than I was planning on spending on a freaking SWEATER COMB, but man was it worth it! It's exceptionally high quality, so the reviews that say it breaks surprised me (unless they're pirated products?) This little thing did wonders for my sweaters. Then I started to use it on other things like pilled up throw pillows, and it made them as good as new. The key is light, small strokes and to take your time when de-fuzzing.If you've got a few extra bucks to spare, it's worth the upgrade because you'll have it for the rest of your life and it will save your old clothes from the donation bin.

My Cashmere Sweater's BFF
This had good reviews so I gave it a try. I purchased a few high price points 100% Cashmere sweaters last year and I adored them for a month and then the pills made them look old and messy. I gently combed this over my sweaters and after five passes on each area, the sweaters look lovely. Not as good as new but I'm not embarrassed to wear them out. I'm thrilled with this item!
