Nerve is no doubt, the best movie I have ever seen. When I watched this movie for the first time, three years ago, I loved it and I still do to this day. Nerve is a rollercoaster of insane emotions, all happening at once. This film goes from being full of fun and games for teenagers to violence and getting paid large amounts of money to do horrible things. Meanwhile, throughout the whole movie, there is an intense relationship forming between the two main characters.Though there are so few characters, the roles were executed very well. Every person in the movie had an important role. Vee is my favorite character. As the main role, she plays a huge part in the complexity of this movie. Vee starts off as a shy, boring character who is looking forward for college. Vee’s best friend, Sydney, is outgoing and fun to be around. When Sydney finds out about an online game called Nerve, she talks Vee into playing with her. Little did Sydney know, this game would cost her more than she could imagine and potentially end their friendship and more importantly, their lives. At some point in the girls playing this game, Vee is dared to kiss a random guy for $200. This is where Ian comes in. Vee had no clue that Ian was also playing this game. Once they had formed a connection, they were game partners from there on.This movie may seem innocent up until now. Sorry for the spoilers, but this movie takes a strong turn when Vee gets obsessed with this game and all the money she is receiving. The story only gets better from there. One of the ending scenes is Vee in an arena, holding a gun to Ian’s head. From hackers, love stories, fake names, fake deaths, to risking your life to be with someone you have only known for a week, this movie has it all.I could not recommend this movie any more than I have. I have watched it countless times, and the thrill is still there. I have showed this movie to everyone of my friends and forced them to watch it. If you prefer books over movies, the movie is based on a novel, so I recommend checking that out. Watching this movie was an amazing experience and I think this movie outstands all other movies I have ever watched.

I think it's a great capsule of time as a teenager!

Ein sehr toller Film, welcher ein phänomen der heutigen Zeit ins Visier nimmt.Die Thematik finde ich hier sehr interessant und auch gut dargestellt. Es ist ein Brandaktuelles Thema und gerade für Leute im pädagogischen Bereich kann ich diesen Film nahe legen. Es ist zwar ein Mainstreamfilm, aber dennoch bearbeitet dieser aktuelle Themen, welche auch im beruflichen Alltag immer wieder teil der Gespräche sind...
