OMINOUS: Book I ()

Ever since reading Ecstasy, I have been enamoured with Eli. Baby Boy. When I found out he was getting his own book, an invite to his back story and what makes him… 𝘩𝘪𝘮. I just knew I couldn’t WAIT to dive in. Pun intended.And dive in I did, right in the deep end. Baby Eli (how I will be referring to him for Ominous I & II) opened my eyes to something that clung to my mind from my past. I don’t know why I was surprised since Ecstasy hit so close to home for me. KV does that. So much so that I had to take every chapter with a deep breath. A gasp for air because the author’s writing is absolutely phenomenal.“𝘉𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘥, 𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘺 𝘣𝘰𝘺.” 𝘐 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩. “𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦.”This book is huge, and every page is necessary. It addresses a lot of things that although are not the darkest things I’ve read, hit me more than most, because it is a psychological thing. I don’t even know how to describe it, I’m probably not making sense.Both Eden and Eli find each other when they both feel lost. Two teenagers trying to live out their darkest desires, which isn’t all that romantic… I can’t really say much about the plot without giving too much away. But just know, this isn’t your typical romance - it’s dark and it’s sometimes terrifying.𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘮𝘦, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘐’𝘮 𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭.

oh my god. this book. I DONT KNOW WHERE TO START. as with ecstasy, this is so raw and real and such a perfect take on mental illness. i adore the way K writes about mental illness and how the inner dialogue for these characters is just so real.you can feel everything the character feels. i am utterly consumed by this world.i cannot wait to finish this story with book 2 and then have sinister in my hands soon. heart wrenching and yet heart warming characters. i refuse to believe they aren’t real :).warning: this is very dark. check triggers.

I highly recommend this series if you want to read dark romance/ suspense. If you love angst and mystery.. you should give the ecstasy series a try because KV rose takes you on a journey that will make you question everything.Ominous was like a drug you've been craving for so longI couldn't put this book down for a minute - I was sucked into the charactersI was obsessed with Eli - I wanted to know him more and more and the book is filled with mystery and lose endsI was reeling with anticipation throughout the entire plot. This book was absolutely outstanding!I wanted to throw the book out of the window multiple times because it's so infuriating and frustrating - it was also very overwhelming at the end but it kept me curious. I couldn't stop reading because all I wanted was answers.. WHO IS ELI? There are so much that we don't know about him.This book is my absolute favorite book of KV rose so far!

Eli & Eden, I’m obsessed with these two… on a whole other level 🖤⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣I had to get a photo of this book with water because, if you know, you know. 💧⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣Ominous is the most fitting title for this book, don’t go into this book thinking you’re going to get some sweet romance - this is dark & very real & as deep as the ocean. It’s honestly just hands down epic!⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣‘𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐞’ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣You meet Eli in ecstasy and if you’re anything like me… you were craving more of that water boy 😏. I had so many questions… why is he the way he is? ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣Ominous is based before ecstasy when Eli was in high school, where he meets Eden. They swallowed each other whole, dove into the deep end together & swam amongst the darkness & chaos that consumed the both of them. They offered each other safety, comfort… and also played on the edge of their deep desires and needs. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣‘𝐈’𝐦 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦… 𝐈’𝐦 𝐚 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮’ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣I’m not going to say much more because I feel sometimes going into books blind without too much knowledge is the best way to read a book. Eli & Eden I am obsessed with the both of you, This book is thick thick thick, It took me 3 days to read this perfection and I could have kept reading. We all met Eli in Ecstasy and he has met his match with Eden, I think she is more of a sociopath then he is. I don't even really have the words to describe these two, they are toxic AF but they are just meant to be. Cannot wait to see how Book two continues
