This toy:-Good value for money, as I got it on sale for $10. I would not have paid more than what I did however.-Cute colors-Fun toy, the chick hatches-You can add more individual chicks to the "coop"Overall, I would recommend this toy for kiddos. It would be a great way to learn about chicks and their life cycle. I would pair it with a non-fiction book on chickens or raising chicks!

I received 2 of these for my grandchildren. I am beyond disappointed. Neither one worked as was designed. 3 adults tried and tried to get them to work. Even googled and watched a video to no avail. Horrible! My grandchildren were so disappointed but wouldn't let me return them. They will end up in the garba because they're useless. I wasted money on 2!! Horrible and so so overrated and sad for the children that waited with excitement for them to arrive. I'm beyond angry and will never purchase a little live pet again!

Very cute and I had to change the chick battery to work upon arrival, also shipping was fast.

The first I bought daughter stopped hatching so we needed to buy a replacement. This one has lasted and made her happy

My son really wanted a chick for Christmas. He loves this thing, it stays a chick and i don't jace to feed or clean up chick poop!

My daughters LOVE these little chicks but there is one problem! The batteries don't work and you will have to buy them before they can play with it. I can say this because I bought 2 from amazon and 1 from Walmart. Sure they peep and make the egg crack noise but won't hatch until you change the batteries. Then they will peep, hatch and jump around. Adorable but SHAME on the company for the most terrible batteries.

I bought not one but two of them one came with the handle missing off the cage and both of them came and they did not work not happy way too much money that my daughter spent of her own money for a toy that does not work

2 stars because product came on time & in good shape. Down fall dosent work. Wish I would have read others reviews.Will try new batteries like others suggested.

my younger grand daughter absolutely loves this very good quality and hours of fun are had with this toy.

Just given my daughter this present for her 4th birthday and she absolutely loves it. Not only does it hatch over and over she loves to ‘care’ for it as well. my 1 year old also finds this toy very fun indeed so it’s a win win.

Bought this as a gift on request. First the chick didn’t hatch. Child did not cry from sheer strength of character. Rapid googling revealed lots of people have experienced this and fixed it by changing the THREE obscure small round batteries (seriously... for a tiny chick...) New batteries found (shops shut on Christmas Day, so more good luck). Next we forced open the egg, ruining the big surprise. Then, we unscrewed the chick’s battery cover but it was jammed so we accidentally over-unscrewed and the screw head was damaged. Argh! Luckily managed to jam it open, replace the batteries, then the cover (minus screw - that’s how tightly fitting it is), replace chick in egg and get the thing working. Three hatches later and it hasn’t been touched since. A lot of bother for a load of over-priced plastic rubbish. Avoid, even if big eyes are pleading with you.

These are really cute, when they work. A word of warning; make sure you purchase spare LR44 batteries (they take 3) when you first buy this. We got this one and a separate chick for my daughter for Easter. She was excited to see them hatch the only problem was they got stuck in hatching mode so never hatched. She couldn't really play with them like this and we wondered of changing the batteries would work but being Easter Sunday all the shops were closed so we couldn't get any.Now they both have new batteries in my daughter is happily playing with them and having a great time.As I said, when they work they are a great gift for kids.
