OtterBox DEFENDER SERIES Case for Google Pixel 2 - Retail Packaging - PURPLE NEBULA (WINSOME ORCHID/NIGHT PURPLE)

I've had a total of 5 smart phones and every one has had an otterbox! You know it's bad when your OtterBox outlives the phone. I had a Note 4 and it recently died because it just wouldn't stay charged for long anymore, but the OtterBox was still in great condition keeping my nonworking phone protected. I dropped my past phones quite a few times and I have a toddler and a baby, so imagine how many times these phones have hit the ground (haha), and the OtterBox has kept them safe. Not a single scratch or crack on my phone. I just bought the Pixel 2 and immediately ordered this case. Waited 2 days for shipping, so my phone was without a case for 2 days. Imagine how nervous I was the whole time haha, but the moment it came I put it on and I feel completely safe now. I was walking into target the other day, and I dropped my phone onto concrete, and it's perfectly fine!!! I know you're probably thinking the OtterBox is pretty expensive, because I used to too, but it's so worth it!! I rather pay $40 for a case then $700 for a phone. Buy this! Also if your case starts to get worn down from aging, the OtterBox company will send out a brand new one same color and model for free. Just have to pay shipping. Probably shouldn't of told y'all that, because I don't think they want that advertised. But I've done it with the last 2 phones haha.

This case works great. Initially I tried a generic case on my pixel 2. That case worked great but without having a cover over the usb-c port I found myself cleaning out that port every few weeks. I got tired of this and didn't want to risk damage the port. Ordered the OtterBox since it does have a cover for the port and haven't had a problem since.Pro tip: order a screen protector and install it. This allows you to remove the awful one that comes with the OtterBox. Once you take the case apart you can just push the OtterBox screen protector out from the front. The OtterBox one scratches very easily and allows dirt to get behind it. I've noticed this on many phones.

This meets all my expectations! Based on other reviews I was worried about the screen protector, but there are few options for Pixel 2 so I gave it a shot. This fits like a glove and the screen and buttons and everything work perfectly- excellent protection and one of the nicest screen protectors I've had. I will say it took me about 5 min to open all the clips on the case-be careful not to snap them off, but once you open it the phone pops in and snaps easily in seconds. Either Otter fixed the issues people were having or they were not installing it correctly. Favorite case I've ever owned (including apple)!

People are being a little too hard on this case. The case is very sturdy and I don't see my new Pixel 2 breaking any time soon. You can feel the screen protector move down when you press the phone. That really doesn't bother me and it's not that noticable. The buttons require a firm press (you can't tap the volume up or down or power off the phone with a light bump), but it's really not difficult to put a little more umph in your press. All these *problems* people are claiming the case has are intentional to keep the phone safe. All functions that work without this case ( like the squeeze for Google Assistant) still work with it so no need to worry. This is a good buy.

Otterbox cases always provide excellent protection. I got this one over the other Otterbox case for the Pixel 2 since my previous otterbox case was also a 3 piece case (two hard plastic pieces lick together to create the case and then a rubber/silicone outside to cover it all up) and I loved it. Prior to purchasing I didn't see the fact that it has a plastic screen protector built into the front part of the case.This screen protector doesn't do much. Sure it protects from scratches, maybe. It has to have openings for both front facing speakers as well as an opening for the front facing camera, and the front facing light detector. This creates 4 access points for dust and debris to get in between the plastic screen protector and your screen. Once you can see the dust accumulate it has already affected your touch screen performance. Some taps don't work. Pinches stop half way through. In general, a pain in the ass.Then, because Otterbox cases protect so well, it takes a couple minutes to take the case a part to clean the phone screen and the inside and outside of the screen protector before spending another minute putting it back together.I think I'm going to use a razor and just remove the plastic screen protector. It's just an idea that doesn't work in practice.Edit: you don't need a razor! You can pop it out pretty easy. Waaaaaay better without the bad plastic screen protector.

I have used an OtterBox for the past 6 years for all my phones. I am incredibly clumsy so I needed something I could rely when my phone went flying from my hand. I had my past phone for five years and dropped it countless times. In all that time and abuse, the phone only ever had one minor scratch. As soon as I purchased my new phone, the first thing I did was order an Otterbox for it. Like many other reviews stated, the screen protector is just a thin sheet of plastic lightly glued on the case that is easy to rip off. I usually do so, but have been pleasantly surprised so far as the plastic is close enough to my screen to not be an issue for this case. It fits my Google Pixel 2 like a glove and the price was incredibly reasonable. I would purchase this again and again.

I have been encapsulated Otter box's on every one of my phone's. Being a mechanic,biker, pilot and boater.. I cannot afford putting a phone in my pocket.. I have dropped my phone's dozens of times throughout the years never so much a scratch to very expensive phones.. I also think it's absolutely embarrassing to have large annoying lump in your pockets.. bad fashion!!!. These fit perfectly to each make...Incredible warranty, almost indestructible at a great price.

The media could not be loaded.  Definitivamente la mayor protección para tu equipo, sólo hay que tener en cuenta 3 cosas.1. Se vuelve bastante grande y abultado, casi el triple de ancho de lo que es el teléfono sin ninguna funda. Pero esto ya era de esperarse.2. Las ranuras para las bocinas y cámara frontal permiten la entrada de polvo y mugre entre la pantalla y la mica frontal protectora del otter box, por lo que recomiendo limpiar cada 2 o 3 días para evitar que se ralle tu pantalla. Además la protección de la mica del otter box nunca se acercará a la que provee un cristal templado.3. Refleja un poco la luz, por lo que en condiciones de mucho sol o iluminación puede ser un poco incomodo a la vista.

The photo does not do it justice. Fantastic quality and protection for the google pixel 2. I easily removed the attached plastic screen saver, (Who needs a gap? - Take note Otterbox.) and added a glass screen protector. The belt clip will be useful occasionally and I have the option of using this separate attachment. All in all, a sturdy case which does NOT distract from the phones many features.

This is a great case as it is very durable without compromising size too much. The case has protected my phone from drops over 10ft. Slots for the speaker and microphone allows you to hear and speak into your phone like normal. Overall, great product.
