Worth waiting
Coffee tastes good. It is not freeze-dried (which is a good thing). It is super fine ground (like the VIA packets, but cheaper).I bought 8 boxes about 9 months ago for $25. I plan on buying 8 more when/if price comes back down.

LOVE It!!!!!!
Firstly I have to say that the coffee is a bit on the weak side but an extra pack fixes that. I have found this to be extremely flavorful and just an ease to make. Even though it is weak and you need to use a few packs for a 14oz cup I couldn't delete any stars. I still use come creamer and it makes this quite rich and delightful. I gave some to my sister but she didn't care for it too much only because it made a weak cup for her but I on the other hand am completely satisfied.

How do you go from great coffee to bad coffee???
This new formula absolutely sucks! It does not have the small "crystals" it had in the past and does not have the great Hazelnut aroma and taste it used to have. This new taste is so artificial, has no Hazelnut flavor and tastes nothing like the original great taste. I can't believe this new formula ever made it past Taster's Choice Quality Control Team, that team should have been fired! This new formula in Tasters Choice Hazelnut coffee reminds me of when Coca-Cola changed their formula years ago, their new formula really sucked and fortunately after much public complaining they went back to their original formula "Coke Classic." We loved the "old/original" Taster's Choice coffee, my co-workers could smell it 100 feet down the hallway and would walk over to ask what brand I was drinking, as it smelled so good. I would pay extra for the old formula if it ever came back, there is no substitute for it on the market. I requested a refund on my order of 8 boxes and cancelled my auto shipments subscription.

First skeptical, then SOLD!
Ok, here is the truth - this freeze dried coffee is GOOD. Long time ago (maybe 20 yrs) I tried the freeze dried stuff and thought it was a bit on the bitter side in taste, so never tried it again. So here I am, years later writing Taster's Choice parent company asking for samples. They sent me a few, and boy was I blown away at how tasty the Vanilla and Hazlenut flavors were. I ended up gong to the local Walmart and cleaned their shelf of these flavors. Yes, that is how well I liked this coffee. HOWEVER, as tasty as this stuff is, there is a down side...The reviews on amazon are correct, in that the size of the individual packets are RIDICULOUSLY small. This is why I am giving a four star rating instead of a five star. Be forewarned - if you want a typical 8-oz cup of this coffee in the morning, you WILL have to use two full packets to achieve the taste of a regular strength of coffee. Having said that, know that you are told on the box of this product that you are buying a TWENTY COUNT box. In reality, it is a TEN COUNT box. Who do you know only drinks 6-oz of coffee in their cup each morning? That is what the packets are - 6 oz! I do not, repeat, do not like strong coffee, so even I would have to complain that this company needs to stop pre-packing for a 6-oz cup. Nescafe needs to sell this product in a single jar container so that customers can choose how much coffee to stir in their cup each day.Its all about profit, I know. But if Nescafe wants to truly listen to customers, then they will stop pre-packing such small quantities and let the consumer have this product in a larger container. I will pay for it anyway, but atleast stop pre-measuring for me.

Still the best instant option out there but the new recipe is ...
Still the best instant option out there but the new recipe is just awful compared to the old taste. Hazelnut aspect is "chemically" now and the coffee itself just does not taste the same. BUMMER. My recommendation 2 packets make a good ice coffee recipe with plenty of (or all !) cold milk in it. I keep it in the car for tournaments / games with my kids. Grab Milk and ice and mix when I want it.

Great taste.
I'm not a huge coffee drinker because I don't usually like the taste, I get wired really easily from caffeine sometimes, and certain coffee hurts my stomach. But sometimes I need something to wake me up in the morning. I love this instant coffee. Usually what I'll do is mix it together with artificially sweetened cocoa, one packet of splenda, 6 oz of water, and two tablespoons of french vanilla creamer. I only put one packet of the hazelnut coffee in as (like I said) I'm sort of sensitive to caffeine. It wakes me up quite well without any jitters or stomach upset. This is my favorite thing in the morning. I don't mind the packets...it stays fresh and it's easy to just rip the top open and pour in the cup. I wish it were available in more grocery stores though...the only place I can get it besides amazon is target.
