NuLightsLED Disco Ball - DMX & Sound Controlled RGB DJ Party Light

I have a couple I use DJing community events. Thought I these prices I would have a spare but there is no sign of needing to use it. I have been using one of these for about 5 years, (maybe 10 hours a year). I use it in a community center for parties of about 100 people. The lights are plenty bright. No complaints.

I used this to light up a Zumba event in a large gym and it did not disappoint. It filled the space and created a fun atmosphere. Easy to use with lots of color options. I love that it matches the beat of the music. Highly recommend!

Sound Activated Mode was not working on my unit, despite following the instructions and watching the videos on their website. My unit was functioning completely differently from the videos on the Sound Activated mode, but Nulights support was insisting that it was functioning normally when I contacted them. Other features were working normally, though.As you can see in the above video, the Sound Activated Mode is not reacting to the music at all, and just cycling through different patterns. Also, there are supposed to be 20 unique patterns, but my unit goes up to 99 "patterns", even though they all do the same exact thing.Nulights was nice enough the send me a replacement, but it had the same exact issue as the first one. They may have had a bad batch sometime in the beginning of 2019, so hopefully they can fix this for future customers. Thankfully, I was able to secure a refund through Amazon.

Fun product but could definitely be improved with more straightforward programming and by including a remote. Not always convenient to have to fiddle around with the tiny buttons on the face of the light to switch between modes. When using the sound activated mode I only had success when placing the speaker and light within a few inches from each other. Seems to mainly pick up on songs that are bass heavy.

(REGARDING DMX CONTROLLING) There is a small experimental element that is needed to figure out which faders do what. Other than that, it is perfect! (Could be a little more brighter though, but if you turn off all lights, its good!)
