BlochWomen's Jason Samuels Smith Dancing Shoe for Tap Dance

Lives up to hype.
I first got a size 5 (women's) but I ended up sending them back for 5.5 and they fit better. Time will tell if increasing a half size was wise as the leather will stretch. Great sound and tone! I hardly notice the heaviness of the shoes.

Awesome shoes!
These tap shoes are the best! They are very heavy duty and great quality. The sounds on these are beautiful! Very sharp and loud sounds. They do run a bit small. I normally wear a 7.5 to 8 in street shoes and I had to get a few sizes before finding a good fit. I ended up with a size 8.5 in this tap shoes and it fits snug (which I wanted). I can still wear a pair of thin socks with them. The toe area was a bit tight when I first got them but have stretched a little since then and are now comfortable. They come with the rubber soles unattached. I chose not to put them onto my shoes (because I didn’t know how and I didn’t want to pay more money to find someone to do it professionally). There is definitely more sliding without them but I’ve gotten used to it. I do feel like the balls of my feet get a bit more sore after dancing for a while probably because of this. Overall, I love these shoes! I’ve had them for about two years now and I still love them. I’m considering getting them in white too! If you get these shoes, you won’t regret it!

Very supportive, good investment if you plan on tapping.
I'm just a regular tap dancer, I don't do really fancy stuff due to spine issues, but I can actually do more in these. I had regular tap shoes before, the $60 ones with the full sole. I decided to get these after my son accidentally threw out my old ones (they were in a grocery bag after recital, boys, *sigh*). My dance teacher and more pro dancers at my studio wear these and he said, "you'll never have to buy another pair". So I decided, go for it, treat yourself, up your game. I'm super happy I did. I love that the front, where the laces are, goes up higher then a regular shoe. And it has more padding. These ones are heavier then normal shoes so it took a class or two of adjustment, but my taps are more crisp and louder. They seem to be more stable for toe stands (tho the larger toe box took a bit of adjustment too). Obviously I don't know how long they last but I'm really glad I spent a bit more. Of note, I got really confused by the size chart and tried two smaller sizes. It ended up being the same size as my regular full sole Bloch's. One size larger then running shoe size. Also, they did have to be broken in.

Size up one size
Great good quality shoes, great sounds. Bloch says size up 0.5 inch from street shoe its more like 1. Inch. Perfect would be 0.75. Wonderful shoes though just sizing is off

Nice loud tap sound and comfortable!
I usually wear between a 7 and 7.5 shoe. I was recommended by other people in my tap class to buy a size bigger. So I bought a size 8. Personally, it fits my feet pretty good. They do feel a bit big with a thin nylon sock. But wearing a heavier sock they feel good. I can control the motion of my feet and it's nice to have a little more stomping room for my toes. Wondering if I should have gotten a 7.5 instead? But I'll make this 8 size work for me. Love the nice loud tap sounds they make!

I told myself - I deserved these! I’m so glad I did
Regarding the fit, I wear a women’s 7 1/2 street shoe and purchased the women’s 8 1/2 in white and I absolutely love them. I’m in between the 8 and 8 1/2 but these are great since I wear socks versus tights. My first impression when I put them on was like I was wearing tennis shoes. They are definitely heavier and have a taller heel, which for me in my late 40’s, required some adjustment time. In fact my leg muscles were burning as if I were wearing ankle weights! I appreciated the extra workout as it made my tap moves stronger and more deliberate, more precise I’d say.I’ve been tapping again for the past 8 months after a 20+ year break. It’s so good to be tapping again.Any former tappers like me should get these. You deserve them! I was worried initially about the price, but I feel happy when I just look at them - it’s well worth it.Buying my first pair of new tap shoes after a long break made me remember the joy in tapping again, and that’s truly a gift. I tap nearly every day now to Online videos and my legs look better than they did twenty years ago!My advice to anyone buying Bloch tap shoes for the first time, just know to expect them to NOT fit same as your shoe size. For the majority of people, half a size up or more is necessary. Refer to the Bloch size chart, it’s helpful. At the same time, be prepared that you might not get it right the first time, and you shouldn’t settle if they don’t fit just right.Good luck and enjoy!

Hi quality soe, but buy 1.5 sizes larger than street shoe. Runs small. Also came with no laces
I normally where a 9-9.5 street shoe, so was shocked when the size 10's I ordered were too small. I also was disappointed there was no option on Amazon to exchange sizes, so I actually had to return the shoe, wait for a credit and buy again. Shoe also came with no laces, which I found surprising. Other than that, this is a quality tap show, however it comes a little stiff, so needs breaking in. There is also no rubber on the bottoms, like some.

conflitto numerazioni EU-US
Purtroppo ho dovuto restituire il prodotto perchè la numerazione europea non corrisponde al vero. Ho preso il 37 e mezzo, ma sembrava un 36... Peccato, il prodotto era buono.
