AWS: Amazon Web Services Tutorial The Ultimate Beginners Guide

Mr. Hutten could do with an editor...or a friend who understands English
Gives the impression it was "written" using speech-to-text, as the number of grammatical and typographical errors is bordering on astonishing. Unfortunately for Mr. Hutten, those can often be overlooked but errors regarding units and values can not--and the book has those as well. As an example, it was written the size limit of a file within S3 is 5GB when the screenshot half a page down (a definitive item from Amazon itself) clearly reads 5TB. This is incorrect by three orders of magnitude and a non-trivial mistake. Why there is an index referencing sections by page number and the pages themselves are unnumbered is a question for the gods. The content--as yet untested by me within AWS--may or may not be beneficial. The problem is when a text is festooned, rife, imbued with errors it makes you question the veracity of everything.[Is the opening blurb regarding it being a "work of fiction" intended as humor? It fails completely on that matter.]

Was this written for a middle school project?
The quality of the physical book itself is atrocious. It looks like a middle schooler made this for a school project. Font is massive and has no flow, there are 0 page numbers so the index is pointless, screenshots are blurry, and so many typos. The information is solid, just extremely unprofessional and clunky. You can surely find better.

and found it is way too shallow to be useful for development using AWS
Flipped through it cover to cover in about 10 minutes, and found it is way too shallow to be useful for development using AWS; it's more along the lines of a marketing brochure for the various services provided in AWS. It's thin on concrete examples and doesn't touch on architecture of AWS consumer solutions. It is somewhat useful as a printed version of the high-level overview of AWS services you can get on Amazon's website.

The table of contents is poorly organized with no hierarchical structure. The book switches back and forth between single spaced and double spaced at random intervals. Half of the sentences in the book have obvious grammatical mistakes. I gave up after reading about 20 pages.

Avoid. Junk copy and paste material from the Internet, not even with added page numbers.
First impressions: awful. Looks like another one of these hastily produced collations of marketing material and online documentation, bundled up in a hurry to cash in on a growth area. It doesn't even have page numbers. The index page has all the "a" characters replaced "α", a flaw which is suspiciously shared by one of the reviews on Amazon — almost certainly written by the author I'd say. I doubt a single one of them is a genuine review given what they say compared with the book that actually arrived.Avoid like the plague.

Weak
I found book's content weak. It's more a tutorial than a deep knowledge about the subject. It's not what I was looking for, unfortunately.Att.
