The new lids are an improvement on the older version of these bowls which featured snap-on blue plastic lids. The new, white lids offer a better fit and also feature an air vent that can be closed or opened. However, the lids are only suitable for storage and MUST NOT BE USED in a microwave oven along with the microwave safe bowl.
