Great quality item at a fair price.
I had to convert it to a 3 hole location. But no problem for a retired toolmaker.

Great value for the money
This is a great chuck and for the price is hard to beat. Fitted straight onto my mini lathe and ran true.I took the chuck apart to clean out all the horrible factory chocolate they fill it with and filled the edges slightly as they had slightly rough machining marks on them still. Getting it apart requires threading a 6mm bolt into the back plugs, and pulling them out with a crowbar or puller. Once re-greased and assembled, there was a noticeable improvement with it.BUT as this is at the low price end, it has a few tight spots on the jaws and I had to arrange them in different slots to get the best fit.My feel is that the threads on the chuck will gradually get more play, but this doesn't really affect it once tightened. This is definitely worth the money and has performed really well and I've machined to quite an accurate tolerance. For my usage, I can't see what benefit you would have from buying a more expensive chuck.

Good value. Great for smaller machines.
This is a steel 4 jaw inecpensive chuck with traditional reversible jaws. The quality is reasonable with minimal play in the jaws at an acceptable level. As the jaws are independent this isn't really a problem. My only concern is acquiring a suitable off the shelf steel backplate with predrilled holes and a 1" 8 tpi thread. I have used a simple backplate which I screw to a wooden intermediate disc that I have manufactured to fit the chuck with the machine screws provided.
